Wacko Zacko will have five feet for the outright lead (assuming no one gets to 14-under first). And he does it.

Still not catching on.

No.

I think the one prediction I made that will hold up is that about 8 or 9 years ago I said Sergio would never win a major. I got nervous back in 2008 or whatever, but… that was about it.

You're probably right. Not a big Sergio fan, but on the other hand I would like him to win.

Great final day so far!

You'd think there's a $100 bill hidden somewhere in that gorse bush. Paddy's the first to break.

I like how both the BBC and ESPN play the slow motion swings w/minimal pomp and circumstance. No Acme Smith Johnson Whiff-O-Matic perceptor.

Steve

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Anyone but Zach Johnson please.

This was exactly what I was going to post. Please not Johnson, please not Johnson, please not Johnson.

This is just a circus.

I like Adam Scott and all but I won't be happy if he and his soon to be illegal putter stand in the way of history.

Zach's not going to have a wedge in his hand again until 18. He's going to be hanging on for dear life these last eight holes.

Out of curiosity why? What could you hate about Zach Johnson?

Anybody know how Jason Day is doing? Why aren't they showing his shots?

He's making lots of pars. Nothing attention-grabbing, but he's just birdied two in a row. Knee-knocker for Zacko to stay in the lead.

    • How do you like the maxfli's? (Which ones?)
    • I am using up my Taylor made distance balls. Went thru half of my tp5’s. Prolly finish the season with axt titliest. But not buying any. I still have a few hundred maxfli balls in my safe.
    • Well you were certainly right about this. Didn't notice much difference from when I switched to the e12's from the Kirkland balls. But today when I first tried the Vice Pro's, wow noticeable difference. Longest drives I've had so far and I think I need to club down on iron shots with it. Kept overshooting the green with them. Great feel and sound too.
    • My boss, out of the blue yesterday, asked me if it ever gets too hot for me to play. I've played in 112* in Phoenix before. Fairly frequently play in mid-90s in NY. Those days are worse than the 112 in Phoenix. I said no. But I'll play in anything. I've played in sleet, snow, hail (one time it hailed on us while blowing a steady 45mph gusting to 55mph - as verified by an anemometer in the clubhouse), torrential rain, high winds, cold, hot, you name it.  Lightning will get me off the golf course though. I'm not an idiot (well, not that much of one anyway).
    • I'm an all weather golfer. Luckily in my part of the Bay Area, it never get's much hotter than mid-70s, and the only humidity fog, so I don't have to deal with hot and humid weather. Most of the year I only have time to play once a week, and it's my weekly psychological break from the daily experience of work/parenthood so I hate to miss it. The only thing that really gives me pause is high winds, because my home course has tons of trees, and quite a few are diseased/dying. Often times when I am out playing and the weather is really shitty I will momentarily question my decision to play, but I rarely regret it.
