Mine is El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer. Other favorites: -Life on the Fast Lane -One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish -The Way We Was -Homer at the Bat -The Otto Show -Last Exit to Springfield -Deep Space Homer -And Maggie Makes Three -22 Short Films About Springfield But almost every episode of the first ten seasons is great, at least to me. Except the clip shows :-D.

The Treehouse of Horror episodes are my favorites. I look forward to them every year. My favorite skit from those was the toaster that was a time machine and kept sending Homer back to the dinosaur age. Everything he did changed the future. It was hysterical.

But almost every episode of the first ten seasons is great, at least to me. Except the clip shows :-D.

... and the crossover with The Critic ; as much as I enjoy both shows, the crossover? It stinks! My favorite episode probably is "Scenes from the Class Struggle in Springfield" -- the one where Marge wears a nice dress while pumping gas and gets invited to the country club. A close second is "Das Bus" (model U.N. trip goes bad). But give me anything by John Swartzwelder or Ken Keeler and I'm happy. Among more recent episodes, "The Food Wife" (Marge + kids become foodies) and "Sky Police" (Marge + Ned + a few others count cards to make money at Blackjack) stick to mind as good. Oh. And the "Who Shot Mr. Burns" saga. Lastly, if you enjoy the show and haven't watched your favorite episode(s) with DVD commentary, see if you can find the time to do so. The Simpsons and Futurama have pretty good commentary tracks.

I don't know the episode titles, but the one where Homer stayed home from church and made the waffle.

Homer the Heretic, also featuring Homer arguing with God about church attendance.

The Crepes of Wrath - One of the funniest parts is when Bart realizes he can parlez Francais!

I can't find a clip of Mr. Lisa goes to Washington. Alert, alert! We have a little girl who lost faith in democracy!

Anything from the first 2-3 seasons, like anything else, once sponsors get seriously involved -  all goes downhill.

Personally, I think the show was better when it was based on Bart, instead of all the old men trying to imitate homer.

The show needs to die, but the networks are too gun shy to let a new show really grow. Family guy is getting weak too. The best show currently on Sunday night is *Bob's Burgers*

Again, at a loss for the actual name, but the one where Homer and Barney try out for NASA cracks me up, especially when Barney falls off the wagon and steals the jet pack. B

    • I voted "warm weather golfer", but I'd expand my acceptable conditions a bit.  If its over about 40 to start, and not raining, I'm OK.  (My wife uses the 50/50 rule, it should be over 50 degrees for over 50% of the round)  If its 60+ and a light rain, I'll play.  I have the gear to play in all conditions, waterproof jackets, pants, hat, rain gloves, winter golf gloves, thermal underwear, all of it, but I've become a bit more selective in my old age.  Also being retired, I CAN be more selective, I have more days available to play.  And of course for competitions or golf trips, I'll play in almost any weather.
