Impressive performance by all. Nice to see the girls pull off the victory.

USA made 70 birdies in 12 matches. It did seem like birdies were abundant- maybe an easy course? Thompson/Ciganda match was crazy, as they estimated they each played something like -7.

Did Inkster's comments help motivate the US? I'm still on the fence, but my natural inclination is to want a tough coach to just be diplomatic publicly about the event, and then behind the scenes motivate the team. As it appears now, we looked a bit like whiners because Inkster placed the blame all on the Europeans for the controversy, when the USA technically did the wrong thing by picking up without a concession.

But congrats to the US ladies- that was definitely entertaining!  Gerina Piller's tears of joy much later after she closed out the match showed that it dawned on her what her 18th hole up-and-down meant.

The US ladies really putted well today. Complete opposite of 2 years ago. USA won by playing well. Glad the controversy didn't decide the outcome. It did look that way at 1 point. I really enjoyed the 3 days. Love solheim cup. Next up presidents cup.

Sounds like Juli and Suzann have had a great heart-to-heart and they're moving on. Glad to see them professional and classy with the post-tourney buzz.

On a less classy side, can I just point out that Gerina looked amazing in their Sunday uniform? I loved the look of those shorts.  Great to see the ladies looking so athletic and less dolled up.

Incredible Sunday though. Kerr, Wie, Creamer, Pressel- they made their matches look somewhat easy and had them so well in hand that the drama rested with Gerina, well before the actual final conclusion. Of course,  Salas and Stanford did their parts by sinking critical putts within what seemed like a critical few minutes near Piller's famous putt, and the board shifted to the USA RED quite fast and quite convincingly.

Winning 8 of 12 matches and halving a 9th turned out to be quite do-able. Great tournament!

Props to Lexi too! She rocked to get her halved match. Amazing golf from the first match out, and she could've easily won 6&5 with a mediocre opponent.  Of course, if Lexi played average, she could've also lost 6&5!
