Nice up and down John!! Great par save...

Let's not talk about John getting up and down (or better). I'm still having flashbacks/PTSD.

No, No, V, it was a "birdie" and to halve the back nine and one of my greatest greenside shots... And it will probably be talked about forever at NewPort Cup events in the future.

I know the timespan of when the ball went off the club face and landed ever so softly on the green, then rolled so very, very slowly across the green may have seemed like only a few seconds for everyone, but that special time for me, it was like a lifetime in super-slow motion, for ever and ever.

That's what I call a "Kodak Moment" @iacas  just like the shot of mine you and Mike missed on hole 5 played from the water hazard which I almost holed out....

There are no friggin Kodiak Bears within a gazillion miles of Moon Valley....

Sorry man, that was just so precious. Hey, when I die, let's just say it would be a dagger I wouldn't mind dying from.

Even though I can't participate in this, this idea is great and I look forward to seeing the ideas people come up with to celebrate.

I think we should send the cup to Jack Nicklaus for a day too. I heard he chipped on the last day in the last match on the last hole to 'save' the cup. Oh wait, was it some one else??

Who said he was referring to you ???  :-)

He's my buddy, great co-pilot during Newport Cup. I'd still be looking for MV if Kyle wasn't there giving me directions.

Next closest to you would be that hermit Barrett, then we could just loop up the coast to Mike, me, Colin and then Michael to finish off the red team.

A West Coast Team photo would be cool. Maybe you guys can get a golf outing arranged for a Team pic.

A nice sunny day would warm the hearts of us here in the cold winter areas dreaming about playing golf in the warm sun.....

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
