I've won a few tournaments, my recent win I was really happy to take the trophy for as a GolfWeek regional finals 2 day tournament where I won the C flight (14 to 19 handicap) in a playoff.  Made an eagle in a CGA tournament this summer which was the only highlight for that round.  And, sadly, I'm still trying to break 80 but break 90 regularly ... it's gonna happen next year!

Got 'em all. Congrats! You can snag the LSW award pretty easily, too… ;-)

I've only broken 80 twice, first was in 2015.

I've had 4 eagles to date ... first would have been in 2014, more recent was Nov. 22, 2017 (after solid drive, holed 60 yd lob wedge on a par 4). r

I won the day with the most liked content back on Nov. 15, 2015 ... not sure if there's an award for that ?

Nope, those play into the Member of the Month, Member of the Year, etc. type awards.

New to the site.

Average score in the mid 90s, but last week I just tied my best round score of 88. Haven’t done that in over 2 years.

Ive made two eagles in my life so far..

holed out on a Par 4 from 120yards (first time I shot 88) and my other eagle was a perfectly played Par 5. 3 wood off the tee and Fairway. Made the 12 ft putt.

New to the site.

I own a copy of Lowest Score Wins (see attached picture).  And have read it.   BTW, on page 126 15 lines up from the bottom, the word "is" is repeated twice.  I think you meant only one "is"

I also have had a Hole In One on April 10, 2013 on Hole #17 at the Lake Jovita North Course (see attached)

And on August 28th this year, I both broke par and it was one stroke less than my age!!  I am 70 and Shot 69, attached is a cleaned up copy of that round's scorecard.   An eagle from the fairway on the 5th hole was from 158 yards and made it happen!!

Thanks @JuanTheGolfer. There's one other typo in the book. We typed "send" when we meant to say "sand." Those two typos are the only ones we've uncovered in over three years, so that's pretty good, I think!

BTW, I gave all four of the awards to you. Good job!

Erik   Thanks and THAT is great that you only have two typos..   I have reviewed and edited a few golf books/training materials, and they are not as clean as yours.   CONGRATS!!

I should probably just send you a PM on this, Erik. However, I think this question will be beneficial to everyone.

How does one obtain "The Stupid Monkey" award? Because with the description, I don't understand what the award entails.

Does that answer it?

If not, a Stupid Monkey is one who demonstrates that they're dedicated to doing what their instructor has asked of them, and diligently works on that piece.

Do I get an award for getting my first eagle since returning to the game after am 8 year layoff this summer?  The 4th hole at Fountaingrove, 490 yard par 5.  Driver, 5 iron to 10'.  Made the putt for my second eagle ever, and first since starting to play again a couple years ago.

Looking to break 80 in 2018!

    • Day 7 - Mirror work, trying to hit that PGA-logo position in my follow through. Mirror really helped, need to film soon.
    • So hit the😝 irons crooked AND play layup golf?? Hahaha.. no thanks. I would rather stay home. 😊
    • First - glad to see these popping up again. Now to the topic at hand - I would rather be option 1.  If I know how far it's going (I mean a yard or two) I can always play to the wider parts of the fairway and/or the green and still do reasonably well.  Now if I could just really hit the "number" that well.
    • Day 2 (10 Mar 25) - Long day of driving to dr appt with son.  Thankfully got in one of my fave putting drills (two ball side by side) - the goal to have both balls come off the putter face equally by having them come off the putter face as close to the same time as possible.  First few rolls - the toe was leading the way as that ball flew off the face.  By the end of the drill both balls were basically equal off the face, rolling to within a couple of inches of each other.  Nice drill of focusing on squaring the face.  BTW - I was using the old Odyssey DF992.
    • Day 161 - 2025-03-10 Got a decent, long session in. Focused mostly on the backswing feels, and moved on toward the end of the four hours (not all hitting balls, I installed a motion sensing light switch in there too, and worked with a student over FaceTime for a bit) on the downswing feel.
