The Editor of Golf Digest asked his staff for a quick listing of their personal Masters tradition.  What is yours?

I don't really have a tradition.  Masters week is early April.  Typically the snow is gone and the courses have opened. Handicap season almost always starts 4/1, although a few years back it was pushed to 4/15.  Thursday & Friday I am usually at work and can only sneak a peek or two at the online telecast and leader board.  If the weather is acceptable (not pouring rain or 25 degrees) I try to play Saturday & Sunday.  The nice part about the Masters is they usually run past 6pm and I can catch part of the tournament once I have returned.

I will repeat the mantra, "About to become the Master's Champion" in Carl Spackler's voice when the leaders are on the back nine on Sunday. My wife does it too! :-P

I may watch a little via the internet during work. As long as I don't abuse it my boss is OK with it. During the weekend my tradition is to actually play golf rather than watch it. If I get home in time to see some of it fine but it is not a priority.

Nothing that qualifies as tradition.  I watch on TV, live or recorded, just depending on the situation.  This year I leave for a week in Mexico the morning of the final round, so you can bet the DVR will be set to record it.

Watch as much coverage as possible.  Nothing beats the Sunday at Augusta.  Kind of kicks off the golfing season for me personally.

Before there was full 18 hole coverage, online, etc... I could watch my in house (CBS) feed all week. these were practice runs for the announcers going through the various chit chat that might come up in the actual broadcast of the Masters. A lot of it was mostly technical walkthroughs checking equipment and such. But quite a bit of it were some "blue" commentary never meant for public disclosure and especially NOT "Masters worthy" commentary. When McCord and Feherty went toe to toe, it was HILARIOUS, not broadcastable, but funny as shit without being crude. Usually two or three channels of coverage, some just "beauty shots" used in b-roll stuff and intros, one might be following a single hole for awhile with no commentary and the last might have the guys working on the actual broadcast rehearsal stuff using groups as in the broadcast.

When it went on air, the feeds would have no commercials (few that there were) and again, the banter would be colorful to say the least until it was back on air. Oh, and they left PLENTY of buffer time to make sure the 'good' stuff didn't leak out live.

Same here. Although it's the Bing Crosby (now the AT&T) pro-am that gets me all horny for golf, the Masters is what really kicks off the golf season here in in NE Ohio.

In 1986 it was a particularly fine Spring, and Master's Sunday found us on a very nice local course. We finished our round and adjourned to the bar, where we found that Nicklaus was in the hunt! We slammed one beer and beat feet for home. I had somewhere I was supposed to be, a wine tasting as I recall, and when I didn't show people were calling me like mad. I just let the calls go to the answering machine! I sat there and watched Jack win his 6th. Don't regret missing the event one bit!

I usually just play golf and get in just in time to watch the back nine leaders.

My wedding anniversary occurs on April 12. Sometimes we celebrate in Palm Springs and drive over on a Friday.

Walk down the main drag in Palm Springs and bar hop. It's like the Superbowl in that town. It's fun.

I use old Taylor Made clubs from eBay and golf shops.

I will record it, and replay it several times. Same with the US Open, and the Open. Been doing this for years.

As much as I like coaching my college team, I'm kind of bummed that I will be at and driving back from a tournament on Masters Sunday this year.
