I like Titleist Players and Footjoy StaSof.  I like the thinner gloves but stopped using them until late last season because I wore through them so quickly.  Since I've loosened my grip they last much longer.  In the heat of summer I usually rotate 3 gloves throughout a round because my hands sweat so much.

I stopped wearing a glove a while ago. It was such a pain to find one that fit and felt right and the only one I ended up liking cost $20 or something and it just wasn't worth it after a while.

I have gloves for the cold, that's the only time I wear gloves now.

Some Bionic models were (still are?) non-conforming to RoG.  As I understand it, they can be allowed if used for arthritic conditions.   Only one of their models is listed on their website as conforming to RoG.

Simple work around - note from your doctor saying you need to wear that particular glove. That note makes the glove perfectly legal for tournament play. Just present the note when you sign in the day of the tournament. I could get that note by sending an e-mail to my doctor at any time.

Since I don't play in tournaments it doesn't really matter, does it?

Just so you know.  I don't think they publicize the fact that they don't conform, but for those of us who don't keep an official HI or play in tournaments, it may not matter.  (Well, maybe they conform to the hand just fine; just not to the RoG.)

I do keep an official handicap. I just don't play in tournaments. But like I said. all it takes is an e-mail to my doctor. He'll write the letter. I have a calcium nodule on the ring finger of my left hand on one of the knuckles. That's osteoarthritis. I just don't have the letter at the moment. No one ever has questioned the glove. It would just cost me $45 for the letter. That's the issue. So I'll play without it until it becomes a problem. It won't.

It doesn't assist with taking a grip on the club, trust me. It's a placebo effect. It's just made of better leather, fits better, and lasts longer. I could simply buy a pair of Mizuno leather batting gloves and accomplish the same thing, but then I have all these right hand gloves laying around. I've used the Mizuno gloves, but the style I like are not always available and they changed the wrist wrap and that part is not as well made as it used to be - it separates at the seam.

I have tried almost all of the big name brands and don't buy the cheap ones. I have yet to find one that I can get more than 60 days of use out of, without needing replaced.

In the summer here in Florida, I'll typically go thru 6 gloves per round.  I usually loosen the glove and partially take it off my hand between shots as well so they don't get soaked as fast.

Many rounds it's been so hot that sweat drips down my nose as I stand over my putts.  That gets pretty unnerving.

Hm, apparently I'm a golf glove snob and didn't even know it. Well, I don't buy the super premium gloves but it buy the TM Stratus Cadets. They are the only gloves I play with now. I tried the no glove thing and while that was "okay," I really like the cushion/sandwich feel between both sets of my fingers. When I play without the gloves I don't like that feel as much.

I used to go through a gloves every 2 rounds in the NC summer heat. In the winter it would last 5 rounds maybe. But now I've worked extra hard on loosening my grip and I imagine my gloves are lasting MUCH longer now. I think I've had this glove for at least 4 rounds and probably 1,000 range ball now and it has a lot of life left.

BTW why are some of you keeping your glove on between shots in the summer heat? This was an exponentially wearing factor on my gloves when I did that. No only that, I couldn't get a good grip on the club after #9 and had to put on a fresh one just because of the moisture breakthrough. Started taking it off immediately after a shot, and putting it on as I walked up to my ball before addressing it. Last much much longer without getting wet.

Holy Chit Van,6 gloves per round? You got some deep pockets.

At 5 bucks a pop, my pockets don't have to be that deep.  The gloves only get wet.  I stick them to the roof support to try to get them to dry, but in the high humidity, they usually don't.  I have a dozen or so gloves in my bag, so I just rotate thru them.  Since the gloves have reinforced palms, they don't wear as fast.  They do rot sometimes and tear I put them on.

No glove here. Never really have (maybe once I bought a glove. Once.).

For those of you that don't wear gloves, why not? Very rarely do I ever see anyone out here in San Diego skip it.

I use old Taylor Made clubs from eBay and golf shops.

How can a glove get crosswise to the rules?

Just don't see any need.  Can't see spending $20 on half a pair of gloves that my game doesn't even derive any benefit from.

I wondered the same thing, I googled them and saw they claim to stop the club from twisting in your hands and some of them look like they were designed with a groove to put the club in.  That's as far as I took it.

If they are formed in such a way that they help you to make a proper grip or swing, then they would be considered a training aid, much like a club with a formed grip to properly position your hands.

After having a high school boy throw an old and slightly cherished 7 wood into a lake because it slipped I am cautious around people without gloves.

In 40 years, and more than 15 without a glove, I've never had a club slip out of my hands, even with playing in rain.

I should reword that slightly.  I'm only cautious around them if they are hitting my clubs.

Though its just paranoia, as I practice without out a glove every now and then and never have any issue.
