Does anyone else have dreams about playing golf? I mean when you're sleeping.

I'm always dreaming about playing golf. And they are usually very frustrating. Unless, I have one where I'm hitting my tee shots 350 yards. :)

I occasionally have dreams about playing. But mostly I use golf rounds to help me sleep when I have trouble falling asleep. I play a round and I never make it to the end.

I don't have dreams about golf, but I do put myself to sleep at night by replaying the best shots from my most recent round of golf in my head

I dream about golf quite often but it's usually not good things.   Most frequent dream / nightmare is standing at the tee, driver in hand, with a bunch of people watching and I whiff the tee shot, a big ugly swing that goes right over the ball.

Oddly, I think about golf all day long just about.  I'm always taking practice swings in my head, lol.  But .. I don't think I have ever dreamed about golf - playing, practicing or whatever.

I only dream about taking $$$ from my buddies......

Wait, that's not a dream, it happens all the time......

But if and when I lose, I have "nightmares".   :pound:

My somewhat recurring dream involves trying to tee off but constantly finding things that obstruct my swing, stance or the direction of the proposed shot.  I keep changing where I plan to tee off from only to find something else is a problem.  Often the "tee ground" is a deck or part of a room as opposed to a square patch of grass.  I don't think I have ever found a spot that was comfortable enough for me to tee off in the dream.

Not many dreams that I can think of. However, when I have found it tough to fall a sleep, I will play a course I am very familiar with in my mind. I am usually a sleep by the 6th hole.

This is odd, because I think about golf all the time now it seems. But I don't think I've ever had a dream about golf. Hm.

No but when I can't sleep I recall my last round and go through every shot thinking how I could have played better. Usually tedious enough to out me out.

bkuehn1952. This is the recurring dream that I'm talking about. Exactly the same as mine. I could not have described it any better.

Sometimes the grass on the tee is 6 inches high. Or there is no room for my back swing, etc..... Makes the shot impossible. Frustration to no end. :)

I'll often replay a round, to get to sleep. Rarely get past 3 or 4 holes.

    • I caught a video on this driver; the face tech seems crazy. Looking at the heat map for ball speed, hitting it basically anywhere on the face only loses a few percent ball speed. The surprising and counter intuitive part to me was that for flat faced clubs, ball speed loss is directly proportional to distance loss. For clubs with bulge and roll this is apparently not true. The surprising part of that story being that the max distance potential looks to be a tiny pee sized area for this driver, and I feel in general for drivers. The counter intuitive part being (the myth?) that blade irons have a pee sized sweet spot and missing that tiny spot causes dramatic losses. And that modern drivers, maybe 2017 on, have massive sweet spots and are ultra forgiving. Where in reality, if this heat map data is valid and reliable, it might be a bit of the opposite. This insane tech driver appears to have a pea sized "sweet spot" while Mizuno Pro 241 irons are 28% more forgiving compared to the average of all clubs measured. Not compared to other players irons, compared to all clubs from all categories, players to SGI! The Pro 241 being essentially just a solid chunk of metal with no "tech" at all. Which for me devolves into a whole mess of what is forgiveness really? And in measurable and quantifiable results how many yards, or feet, does that translate into?
