So on the Olympics website, are they really only giving the top 4 as cumulative under par? The rest of the round 2 leaderboard seems to be the round 2 score only? They can't be this bad, can they?

Any better leaderboards out there? The european tour leaderboard links to the BBC which just gives the round 2 scores and the round 1 leaderboard and sends you to the link above for in play scores. The PGA tour leaderboard is showing nothing.

Okay found one, courtesy of the International Golf Federation: -

Surprising that Lahiri isn't low player from India.

Shaping up to be a good Sunday - it's hard to think Rose or Stenson will give up much ground.  The interesting battle might be for the Bronze - I'm calling it for Matt Kuchar.

I don't see what the tv coverage is for tomorrow?  My guide does not show golf channel having any live coverage.  All I see is "Equestrian, Mens Golf Final" in the description for early afternoon coverage of about 1.5 hours on some random channel????

Callaway XR 9.5 + 1, Taylormade R15 3 Wood, Burner 3 Rescue, Callaway XHot 5H, Warbird 4H, Nike Vapor Fly 6-AW Irons, Titleist Vokey 54, 60 Wedges, Taylormade Rossa Fontana Putter, Srixon Z-Star Tour Yellow.

Best Score 2017:  82 (Traditions at the Glen, Par 70)

Favorite Course - Conklin Players Club (Par 72) - Best Score 86

I have a feeling a lot of the players who backed out are having second thoughts.

I would bet that, too. First, the zika virus was a non-starter. Shame on their bad science IQs.

I haven't watched much of the coverage (maybe 90 minutes), but the course looks pretty good. The scores are in line with a middle-of-the-road professional event. Birdies available, but nobody is shooting the lights out over 54 holes. And hey, gold medal. That would be cool.

Pretty sure it's on the golf channel until 1pm EST, then over to NBC from 1-3.

Still shaming the players who did not care to attend the Rio Olympics? Now, it's all about their "bad science" and their "IQ". What's next?

No, I stated in the thread about players backing out that I don't care if they play. They could literally say "I hate my country and don't care to represent them" and it wouldn't change my opinion of them one bit.

But citing the zika virus as a reason shows a poor science IQ. And you shouldn't have broken that phrase apart.  I'm specifically referring to their ability to understand the risks associated with the virus, not their intelligence.

Have to say this has surpassed my expectations - I'm genuinely interested, the course has been good, with some testing short holes and, pleasingly, there were loads of people following yesterday. I still wish it had been match play, as if we're looking to use the Olympics as a platform to grow the game, that would attract the most new players. I think most of the players who ducked out have looked a bit silly now, as it's been a great advert and I wonder whether Rory will make a U turn and attend in 2020...

In short, pretty good to watch and I'll enjoy this afternoon - hope Rose carries it through!

Currently focusing on: Key 4 - shorter backswing.

What's in the bag: Callaway X2 Hot Driver, Titleist 915F 3 wood, X2 Hot 3 Hybrid, 3, 5-AW Apex Pro irons, 54*, 58* Cleveland RTX, Odyssey Versa 1 Putter

Very interesting. Loved the Kuchar interview, very genuine. Glad that it's coming down to the last few holes. I'd like it to be team play next time though.

Yeah, I've always liked Kuchar, but now he is in my Top 5, great guy.

    • No, hitting into a hazard that is supposed to be avoided and is designed to be penalizing is not the same as hitting it into the middle of the fairway.   You are penalized because you hit it into a hazard. Based on your logic let's say you hit it into a red staked penalty area and you could normally play it but it's in temporary casual water from rain. Would you expect a free drop from there too??
    • They could have declared it GUR, sure. It is. It's temporary water, and as I said before, an abnormal course condition (ACC). That's what rule 16 is about — ACCs. No, a bunker ≠ the middle of the fairway. You are penalized because you hit it into a bunker. As for the rest… let's stick to the topic. Yep.
    • It's not dumb. It's dumb to randomly allow a free drop that provides an advantage you don't deserve. And your committee had the option of determining it GUR. Did you talk to them?
    • A sand trap is not supposed to have 3 inches of water in it. To me that’s temporary, casual water. Just like if your ball lands in a deep rain puddle in the middle of the fairway. I would have gladly hit out of any spot in that bunker. I understand that it’s a different rule. I just think it’s a dumb rule. You are penalized because it rained.  Here’s what I think is the dumbest rule in golf, and all sports for that matter - professionals playing for millions of dollars in a tournament have to carry around a little pencil and scorecard to keep their score and sign it, when there are big scoreboards all over the course and on tv. Can you imagine the Knicks losing because they didn’t count their score correctly? Like I said, I love the game, but it’s time to move into the 21st century already.
