He's in last place (now), how would he warrant a final grouping?

This is more common than it may appear, just not used to Tiger being the 1st single off.

Good point. I guess because it's Friday I wasn't thinking about pairings/tee times based on position in the field.

It's Tiger and it's his tourney. I bet he could if he really wanted to. Not saying he would, just that it's probably possible...LOL…

Ok, I feel you.

I'm more concerned because I predicted a pretty nice range for Tiger to finish, 15-18.  And now one of those slots is gone, significantly dropping my odds at winning the M2 driver that was offered to the over/under champion. ;-)

Interesting. I'm surprised he wouldn't partner himself up with another group instead of playing solo...

It's still a tournament with rules and procedures. And Tiger wants guys to continue to play in it, too, so he wouldn't threaten that.

Tiger's through 7 in barely an hour. And he's -2 today.

Driver swing looks a lot better to me than we saw in 2014-2015.

The scooping/steering motion (or whatever swing gurus want to call it) seems to mostly be gone and he's releasing the club again.

Is Tiger using an M2 driver?

Also, hello everyone.

Any reason to why? I know Nike is getting out of the equipment business, but I didn't think they'd drop this fast

Hard to imagine anyone not getting a real thrill when he drained the par putt on 16.  I don't know if he is "back" but this is great stuff.

Great round Tiger. Bogey-free, one fantastic par save from that bush, he's got to be feeling amazing.

Beautiful rhythm all day, I love how he swung it.
