TST now has its very own leaderboard!

On the leaderboard, you can see who has the most reputation for a period of time, who has posted the most content, the most images, blog posts, etc.!

This feature is new to IPS 4.1.17, so it launched just today when I updated the site software.

P.S. I like the daily and weekly views… The default is the past month (30 days or so, which will span months most of the time).

Looks good - for those of us who are still somewhat extrinsically motivated it's a fun way to encourage quality content/posts.

that explains why I only recently received an "of the day" notification on a post from back in September. Hopefully, this is automated so that someone does not have to do a lot of compilation.

It's automated. It's live. Within seconds (outside of the caching the site does) of someone getting a skin (a rep point) the Leaderboard is updated.

You have to take credit for anything that people like, but blame the software vendor for any and all problems. That is how IT works. ;-)

BTW, if you've ever "won the day" by earning the most reputation points in a day, you'll have a cool little badge on your profile.

      Day 27 (17 July 26) - Normally an 18 hole day, but due to commitments abbreviated the round to 9 holes (played the back nine at home course).  Had a solid session where even the worst miss (tee shot off 18) was fully playable.  Shot a solid 39 (6pars, 3bogies) - not dbls, no three putts - just boring golf.

      Overall, well said. People have to be very careful in trying to describe very complex problem in simple terms. In this case, it is a clear fundamental misunderstanding of Newton's 1st and 3rd laws.  To clarify more on the misinterpretation of Newton's 1st law. The exact interpretation of Newton's 1st Law....  "Every body continues in its state of rest, or of uniform motion in a straight line, unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed upon it" yea, a body will stay motionless unless a force acts upon it. An object will stay on its path of motion unless a force acts upon it.  I get it, complex physics problems are difficult. There is a lot of simplification done in most physics class when it is taught. A classic problem uses a frictionless surface. Projectile motion excludes drag and wind direction. Collisions are usually elastic. The golf swing is not a simple physics problem.  Yea, I think they got caught up the data on the graphs and are not truly understanding cause and effect.  If the golfer isn't first pushing into the ground, then the ground isn't going to push back.  The internal forces of the body create the motion, not the external forces from the ground. The ground isn't like what Psy uses to start his concert. 🤣 You probably need to be connected to the ground and have those GRF to help the body produce the motion you want. Your body has to move in the right way to produce the GRF which helps you move the body in the way you want. Body motion precedes the GRF.
