That putt by Fowler might be the turning point in his round.  He needed something to fire him up.

What happened to my jinx? Wait maybe I shouldn't say that he hasn't played the bear trap yet.

I think he figured he had to make a bit of a move.

Commentators get on my nerves; I'm not a big Rickie fan or anything, but he makes a bad shot with a 4-5 stroke lead and they beat him up over it. I could be wrong but I think he made a bad swing, not a bad decision.

I agree, it was most likely a miss-hit not a bad decision.

I agree as well.  Miller is a bitter old fk. Winds were 20 gusting higher Johnny, kinda tough conditions.

Yeah, I mean he did win a PGA Tour event by 4 strokes...they could cut him a little slack.

Nice to see RF hold it together when the wheels started to wobble.  A solid win.

Yep. He was put under a little pressure and didn't collapse.

Yeah, they tend to do that a lot.  It's annoying.  They did it with that Hatton guy on 17 too. He missed a short birdie putt and then pointed to a spike mark in his line.  The announcer claimed that he mishit it.  I mean it's entirely possible he did but you can't possibly know that. You are gonna honestly tell me you could see that his putter face was 1 degree (or 2 or whatever) closed to his line from this shitty camera angle and in real time at regular speed?

They definitely like to pass off guesses as facts way too often.

At least Chamblee wasn't on - I wouldn't have been able to tolerate it

I got to catch the back 9. It was pretty good, even if it was a blowout. Always fun to see Rickie play well.

He didn't look so good with this +2 37 on the front 9. It was cool to see him birdie 3 holes early in his back 9 to close the door on the field. Like I said earlier he is good for the sport when he wins.

I watched the last hour and half. I switched over to the Daytona 500 three times during commercials. Each time, there was a crash. Then I'd flip back, and there would be a ball in the water. It was comical. It was like I had the power to cause havoc with me TV remote. I am Ate, the Greek Goddess of Misfortune. Fear me!:-P

    • Shot a +1 73 today. Pretty pleased with the round even though it could have been 3-4 strokes lower without hitting it much different. 1 topped tee shot, a thinned wedge over the green from 40yds, and 2 putts that hung on the lip all could have made this a phenomenal round. 4 birdies total. Had an interesting back 9, 3 birdies, 3 pars, 3 bogeys and a penalty stroke. Birdied 1 and 18 so that was a fun way to start and end the round.
    • Try some Tour Balatas and an Alien wedge….😏
    • Fresh out of the box. Grooves look fine.
    • Day 17 (18 May 24) - after band rehearsal this morning got home to a rainy afternoon so no outside stuff today.  Had some things to tackle in the shop, so I took the time to roll some putts on the rugs in the shop.  Able to work on tempo and distance control as I have a rug that rolls really well…so it makes for some fun work with the putter.
    • What ball were you using and how fresh are the grooves on your wedges? I practice chip shots with my gamer, and while it's a lower spin ball I'm still able to hit it. Not necessarily the one hop then stop on a dime, but a low one that hops once with a ton of spin and trickles maybe a few feet.
