6/6:

Played Coyote Preserve in Fenton, MI.   If you haven't played this, it is a must.  I worked on my approach shots.  I set up the net in my garage before I played and hit my 7 iron until I was comfortable and then I hit my 5 until I felt I was making good contact.  That work paid off on the course today.  I hit some real good shots (for me) and thought this week would be a very good week to continue to work on 180-100 yard shots.

Copied @roamin without knowing it.  Pouring outside most all day, so I putted in the hallway for 10-15mins.

6/6: Same, more putting. That time of year. :-D

Supposed to see the sun again on Thursday.

6/6:  Though I e-like him just fine, I did not copy @roamin today. ;-)   Rain moved out for us to just sprinkles after 4 or so, so I hit the course...
10 mins. warmup w/OW; focus on getting loose and holding posture and form
10 mins. pitching practice in yard from ~30yds.; focus on driving swing w/body (holed my second shot! but could tell it was going to be hit or miss a bit afterwards)
Walked 9 holes at club, playing 2 balls on most holes to get in the most practice.  Was off my game, but still scored ~bogey golf.  Focus was on trying to get my ish together, which I could only manage to do about half the time.  I blame not starting with a range session.  That and my shirt felt tight.  For real.  No more w/that one shirt.  Cost me 5 strokes, easy. :-P

6th June: 10 mins full swing practice, again focused on grip, alignment and the take-away. Need to maintain a slow speed while practicing. Very easy to start swinging "all out" while trying to ingrain new movements.

Ran out of gas working around the house today.   Instead of working on my approach shots, I decided to work on some chipping.  60 minutes chipping using different clubs.

6/7:  rain finally let up, but the driving range was still closed, so I spent about an hour at the short game green chipping and pitching.  I tried some cut lobs with a lob wedge, but the proximity to a parking lot made me a little nervous.  I don't need to blade one through a windshield.

6/7: Had a small break in the rain this evening and managed to get a little alone time in the front yard with my sand wedge. It's only been a few days, but I missed her. :-P

5 minutes of slow-mo swings w/o ball, focus on hip turn/no sway, then 5 minutes of "easy" shots, focus on contact and tempo.

6/7:  Would've been a magnificent day to play, but wife put me to work on our shop reno (clean-out and demo work today), which will soon be an awesome man-cave, so can't complain.

10 mins. S&C drills w/OW; 4 sets of 20; focused on trying to maintain solid form, but had trouble doing so.  Don't know if it was the labor beforehand or what, but balance, plane, and axis all felt loose and generally un-good.  Hope to play tomorrow, but will prioritize a serious range session beforehand to try and get things back in order.  Sometimes, for me, it just takes the feedback of feeling the strike and seeing the flight to get things back on track.

June 8 - Played 18 yesterday and had to walk due to wet conditions. My left knee was not happy even with the brace. Playing 9 today. I did some stretching this morning and will roll out the kinks at lunch using my AccuPoint. For those of you that use foam rollers, try this one. It does a better job.

69 days and counting. Played a few "holes" today. I made a little limited flight "foam ball" course in the yard. And played a few holes on that... Mostly focusing on smooth tempo and accuracy.

June 8.  Did two separate five-minutes each things at home.

* Worked on back-swing.  Ball, but no hitting, using the mirror in my new golf room.  Backswing to the top, slowly, aiming to get the hands above my right shoulder at the top.  This isn't the aim of the end result, but is exaggerating in the other direction, as my hands are way way way inside at the top as of my latest video.

* Medicine ball at-home driver drill from LSW.  No golf ball here, just trying the driver backswing with the medicine ball, trying to extend through the bottom area.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
