Have you ever shoot a bogey free round ? Not me... Break par a couple times each year but on every single round of my entire life there was at least one bogey in it or worst.
As i´m still waiting for the first hole in one to come, shooting a bogey free round it´s one of my big milestones in golf.

Could a bogey free round worth a place in the TheSandTrap´s achivements??

A poll? When the only vote that matters is mine? :-D

We already have the "breaking par" achievement, and a bogey-free round is even less likely to be achieved than that. The "Breaking Par" achievement has only been awarded to only 36 people who have ever broken par.

(Brief aside: oddly, twice last year, I'd have earned the bogey-free round achievement without earning the breaking par achievement.)

Anyway, I'm not opposed to it, but I would want any awards/achievements we add to have meaning and value, and I'm not sure this one is differentiated enough from Broke Par to warrant a separate one.

it´s hard as sh$%... a perfect pure round/unicorn, can only be dreamed by mortals like us (not iacas).

A bogie free round is EASY...I can shoot a 108+...all doubles and worse.....the symbol should be a piece of cake, or me crying.....or an animated gif of golf clubs sinking in a lake.

Yea, just miss all your putts for bogey on purpose. Easy achievement.

If the intention of the bogey free round is all pars or better, I think the breaking par one is good enough. Otherwise soon we will have people clamouring for a 59 achievement ;-)

The trick is to do it while trying your best.  Such an agonizing round deserves an award..or maybe a sympathy card.  The award should be a pic of Charles Barkley.

I've actually done both. No bogeys and under par. But I never felt like asking for the under par award because it happened so long ago! Those happened for a different me, not the me I am today. Or, since I joined this forum.

I'm only aware of one bogey free round I've ever had, since I don't pay a ton of attention to practice rounds, and it was a tournament 67 I shot once at the start of a city championship. It was a nice solid round, but I can't remember even one other time it happened for me where I didn't make a single bogey. It would certainly be a pretty rare achievement if it was awarded for all holes being par or better.

I think I'm more interested in just knowing how many people on the site have done it than in there being any kind of award for it. I imagine it would probably be in the single digits, even counting @iacas and @mvmac.

I've done it at least once. Its not something I've really kept track of. But i know for sure my 64 was bogey free. Idk that it needs an award but like pretzel said it would be interesting to know how many have done it.

I'm fine either way, but think only a handful of folks would ever achieve that...not that it matters

Is there an even par for 9 holes badge? I did that on the front this year, two birds and two bogeys. Been the highlight of the new millennium for me.

    • That was a good watch. When I started working on pelvis in the backswing. I thought, this sounds contradictory to those leg straightening threads on the site. Erik has already done a correction. Then the last lesson we went more down the route of feeling the right knee gains flex. It doesn’t, but the feeling keeps my knee position in a good range. Also, I just realized how much extra work my right hip needed to do to stabilize the body with the proper weight shift. Those glute and hip stabilizers got worked. 🤣 I wish this evolution in the golf instruction happened 20 years ago! 😭

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: squirt to the right due to to much arm not enough turn. • The first issue Erik spoke about is something we worked on for my swing during both GEARS sessions. GEARS was showing my pelvis center moving towards the ball during the back swing. I wasn’t the 4” guy though! This forced me to correct on the downswing to give myself space. My hip rotation was to high as well. We corrected it by first getting the weight off my heels in my stance and getting my posture correct. Then the feel was shifting back into my right hip at a 45 degree angle. This kept my pelvis center from moving towards the ball at the start of the backswing. I also didn’t sway back as much as I felt I did because of the angle I was shifting. Feel Ain’t Real. The cool thing about GEARS is as you work on something you can see the exact (Real) change happening. On video, it is much harder to spot this issue because of the 2D nature of filming. But I know what to look for now. Sadly, I was hurt all last year and most of this year so I really haven’t been able to work on it much. I did do a lot of backswing work though.
