What a difference a week makes. This time last week I was in love with the lineup I put together for the Sony Open.

I was wondering what "Value" Tiger would be set at for this week.
I think I'll start him just for old times sake.

Also curious as to how many participants will also have him on the roster.
The Golf Channel has roughly 15K entries, our TST group has 16 teams.
I'll take a stab and guess only 3 teams in our league will have him on their roster.

Rat - I was just going to look to see if it was open & I was going to post to see who here was going to add TWoods to their fantasy team.
But at $6,000 he is a bargain and I think most will when you look at those close to him on the pick sheet - I haven't made my picks yet but Mr. Woods will most likely be on Team Fairway

Vegas had him at 40:1 last week but bumped him to 20:1 yesterday.
I'll tell ya, picks are definitely tougher in this league format, IMO.
I got burned last week thinking I'd ride a Hot Horse with Kizzari
To nab a couple of top tier players, a team could only start 4-5 players.

I'm like $10K under the limit this week, wish I could use Cash this like "ATT / Roll Over" or Cash Back...  :-P

Yep, he’s on mine.  I don’t feel like any other player at or around 6k has as good of a chance at making the cut.

I picked Tiger to miss the cut but that is too good a deal to pass up.

IMO, with the field of players in the event, I'm with the majority of the poll on the thread - Tigers 2018 Debut
There's not many Top Players playing and Tigers better than 70% of the players entered.

Vegas has Tiger missing the cut, and Vegas is usually pretty spot on. Im just plugging along with those 400+ pt weeks. You have to have guys make the cut in this format or you're screwed.

If he's $6k only… I think you almost have to.

So I looked and I think 5 in the group did not pick Tiger - and after the first round the leader doesn't have Tiger and neither does the person in last place.
I'm not sure what that means

Did you forget to pick this week or forget to save your team?

We had a new team added to the group. Welcome "Flaghappy"

    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
