Day 510: Worked with the MEVO today with 8 iron and driver. Got really low launch with the driver for some reason. Trying to figure out whether I am launching low or if it’s the MEVO and the short indoor settings.

Maybe your floor slants downward? 🙂

Day 72: Good practice today. Hit lots of balls in the garage. I worked on my priority piece, mostly the footwork drill.

Hit every club in the bag a handful of times. Not the driver, though... it's still out sick.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

I’ll double check it, but I think my platform is level.

Day 91 (10 Mar 22) -  a rainy day, no hope of anything outside.  Picked up one of the blade putters and worked on putting from varied distances (6’ up to 15’).  Worked on keeping head down and listening for the ball to be kicked out by the auto return.  Was a good day as I was locked in on lagging the ball to a given spot.  Accuracy into the auto-return cup was decent - did notice I was better when going from 10’-15’ than from the shorter distances.

Day 54:

Covid-19 practice plan day-5 drill again. Managed okay today making contact with the ball, but finish feels unbalanced and out of sync, so a lot more to do.

Day 6: Had a long session with coach today.  Looked at putting, chipping, and full swing.  Did a bunch of exercises to evaluate current level, strengths, and weaknesses, and then a lot of time working on one specific area (getting weight forward), before playing a few experimental holes on the course.  Very enjoyable day.

Day 7: Second intensive coaching day.  Worked on chipping, did a Sam Putlab session, and then some work on putting, focussed on keeping the body steady and still, and evening up the ratio of my backswing and follow through, then worked on full swing, again working on hip movement, and drilling an in-to-out swing path.

Day 139 - Chipping and Pitching practice outside today. Did Padraig Harrington's chipping drill using an alignment rod about 6" behind the ball (ball forward, weight forward, don't hit rod) then Day-7 pitching drills. I did these drill with my 58* wedges: Edel DVR, Ping Eye-2 Gorge and Ping Eye-2 XG (the Pings are SW bent to 58*) for comparison purposes.

Day 73: 3/11/2022

Did a lot of putting bead work today. I had meetings all day, on and off. Did the gate drills with the putting mirror during pretty much every break.

I also got in just a bit of mirror work, working on my priority piece.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 6.  Getting home from work led to 8- and 6-irons, indoors, real balls, off a mat, into the net, slow swings as always.  Helps with the golf and to acclimate after getting home.

Day 55:

More covid-19 day 5 drills. Tried some full swings too, but it was terrible. Feels like a tailspin at the moment and right now just searching for solid contact.

    • Well, they are. 😳 😄
    • Ehh, it was kinda bad yesterday. Especially from the European side.  Min Woo Lee, Adam Scott, Sungjae, and Bezuidenhout combined for 4 birdies yesterday... Theegala wasn't good from the US side either.
    • Yah, a little over the top barking behind SS's back and walking away before he putted out (that is straight up poor form IMO), etc. Seems to be trying to punch above his weight class. But then on the same note it's hard to stay awake for a couple of hours of telecast outside of this no? The golf is not bad but there's no soul and that's not the player's fault.  I read something about him 'blaming the Canadian crowd' for their Day 1 plight but that also seems to be a bit of a writer's distortion of what he said as to me it seems he is simply asking the crowds to get a bit more involved. That's fair. Ya' know, the positive, loud energy these type of events need and feed off of. My two cents.
    • Until the International team does something… I don't know about "waste of time" and the surrounding area benefits economically, the players might enjoy it… etc. But it's not super interesting.
    • I’ll try to phrase this very carefully. Is there a case to be made that the Presidents Cup is a waste of everyone’s time?
