Update: spent about 45 minutes hitting into a net. Worked mostly on partial swings focusing on the shoulder turn through impact.

Day 335:

Did my path and first move down drill with my new 9-iron today. Mostly working on that slight draw path. It's working well.

DAY 81    Spent 3 plus hours on the range working on my downswing sequence.  It is going to take a while!!!  The good thing is that I can now feel when I am doing it correctly and when I am not.  And there is a big positive difference in ball strike and flight.    Home now and time to get out my Impact Ball and work on making sure my right elbow does a better job of pointing down at the top of the backswing.

Day 60. I see my  day 59 didn't submit yesterday. Oh well, I guess.

Today was my version of the pump drill, and my version of the step through drill. Pump drill for lag control, and step through for divot in front of the ball control. I don't take much of a divot, but the drill helps with getting the low point of my swing in front of the ball.

All were done with out a ball due to lack of room. I'm still working on combining both of these drills into one. It's looking better.

Also I have discribed both of these drills in earlier posts.

day 28

3/1/18

Went to hit balls.   only brought a 8 iron and a 4 iron.

Alternated shots with each club.   I've been able to hit great 4-iron shots lately, but only when I hit a few consecutive 4-irons.  just trying to get the feeling of different planes with different clubs.   maybe not different planes, but different feels.   was hit or miss.   I probably hit 9 of 10 shots great with the 8-iron, 4 of 10 great with the 4.   I think this little drill helps quite a bit, though.

Worked on taking the hands more inward, and the back straightening on the takeaway. Once satisfied with my position, I did some slow motion down swings exaggerating everything, and then making some quick full swings.

10 reps with a minute pause in between full swing reps with a couple less aggressive warmup reps. Stretching hamstrings. Working on slow movements through the transition. Tai Chi slow with weight shift incorporated into movement. Also keeping the lead wrist well pronated. Full coil backswing, lead arm straight getting past parallel. I have to focus on retaining the C-spine posture. Used a roller to work the upper back/shoulders, lats, glutes and calve muscles.

Hit driving range yesterday evening. Hit pretty good considering it was 52F on the range. My distances seemed longer with driver and half a club shorter with short irons. Ball flights lower.

Lost a little weight, feel better at 207. 10 pounds so far...

Day 336:

Winter Storm Riley screwed up my plans to practice outdoors today, however, I was still able to practice my first move down and path drill with water-bottles today. The focus was feeling as if the arms started the downswing whilst having a path slightly from the inside.

29 days to 1 year.

Day 61

Just some chipping/pitching practice this morning. Focusing on set up, ball contact, and hitting my chosen landing areas.

In a couple of hours I will move to the driving range for some pre-round warm up. Depends on hard this wind decides to blow.

DAY 92   Began the day by spending 30 minutes working with my KPlayer on set-up, backswing and impact positions.   Then three solid hours on the range working on my kinematic sequence... (hips, torso, shoulders, arms, hands).   Making progress.   Will work with my KPlayer later today for about 30 minutes at least.

Messed up in my counting... Day 81 (#579) above should be 91.   Darn .... I guess since I ran out of fingers and toes, I am trouble!!  Sorry!!

Day 28 - March 2, 2018 - Five minutes (or more) doing my swing. Hit about 12 golf balls. Hinge, free elbow, slightly laid off from where it has been "out" too much, right palm out while moving the box downward.
