Tiger. Rory. Speith. Strongest field in a very very long time in Tampa this coming week. Supposed to be very windy with rain chances on Sunday. I'll be in attendance on Friday. For a Florida course, Copperhead is quite hilly. Will be a very interesting week.

First time I will be watching this tournament.

I am very curious about Tiger and Rory's game after the last week.

Who will paint their name, on the canvas of golf history, at the 2018 Valspar Championship?  Will it be one of the young, latex, guns, who clean up with water...or an enameled veteran...who relies on stronger spirits?

I'm gonna call it, The Snake Trip, in deference to The Bear Trip. Snakes.... why'd it have to snakes?

Props to Jordan "Metaphor" Spieth. :-D

    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.
    • That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.
    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
