Danny Willett looks in danger of being a much younger Sandy Lyle at the moment. Constantly miles over par over the last two years.

Currently focusing on: Key 4 - shorter backswing.

To be fair to Sandy Lyle, he had a pretty decent sustained career throughout the 1980s. D. Willett is starting to look like a man whose moment in the sun lasted for one weekend.

Judging from the tracker, he's been ok tee to green, but his short game and putting looks like it's really costing him :-(

The Willett Tracker???

If you meant Tiger… no. I wouldn't say that's the case at all. Bad drive on one, good first putt. Bad drive on five. Poor tee shot on 4.

Tiger isn't +5 through 8, either. He's +1 through 7.

It's stupid that you can't view the holes on the tracker that a player hasn't played yet.

Saw Parziale was +8 and one away from DFL.

Tiger's driver has been his best club today.  Did not expect that.

Missed two fairways with 3-wood, poor bunker play, only one really good iron shot, and only one really good putt.  Not going to win this way, but let's hope this is like 1997, where he was a different player after the first nine.

Eh. It's not like he's shooting 40 right now.

Should make the turn at E. Got an iron in to 8. So I'm giving him a birdie.

But yeah, a better back nine would help. ;-)

Makes me cringe when the announcers state that a 20 foot putt uphill is better than a 10 foot putt downhill. :doh:

Clearly they havent read LSW

Usually not when there's a ten-foot gap, no, and not true when it's three feet vs. six feet…

But I'd take a 23-footer uphill than a 20-footer downhill on some of those greens.

      Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.

      Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.

      Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
