I finally got to see the second Butler Cabin interview with just Tiger, Nick, and Nance.  I think his answer was interesting when he was asked about Joey -  he said that LaCava was the most loyal person you'd ever want to meet.  Maybe THAT is what he needs.  I'm sure that over his travails and even in the good years he had a lot of people show unfortunate true colors.  I would imagine that after all that, loyalty would be a highly valued quality in someone so deep in the inner circle.

Is Tiger not a fan of Nick?  I don't know why, but I felt a little chill coming off of Tiger towards Nick.

Pretty cool article on Stevie Williams' reaction to the Masters win. Always a fan of the relationship between Tiger and Steve W. Too bad it ended the way it did and got ugly, but I think they've put it behind them.

Tiger Woods' former caddie Steve Williams thinks that Woods' victory at the Masters is "amazing" for the golfer and the game.

Who knows. Maybe not happy that Nick reported the 2017 Champions Dinner story in the media. Tiger might have said things in that room that he expected the other Champions to keep to themselves instead of spouting to the media about it.

Finally, some stories like this that I would like to hear:

After Woods bogeyed the fifth hole on Sunday of this year's Masters, his second straight bogey of the round, LaCava ripped into him, too. Woods just listened as his caddie gave him a profane lecture.

"Then I went into the restroom and proceeded to say the same things over and over to myself," Woods said. "And then I came out and I felt a lot better."

When things looked bad, when even Tiger thought his career was finished, Joe LaCava believed. This is the story of the guy standing right beside Tiger.

Good!

    • Hey, thanks for the feedback. I do lift weights but I’m also adding yoga or Pilates for mobility and flexibility to my routine.
    • Day 18: 2026.01.20 Continuing work on arm raise during backswing. Starting to feel less weird, especially the slower I go. Looking like a busy week so might be the weekend before I can hit some balls.
    • It’s possible the graphite shaft has a small internal crack or a delamination. Tapping it and hearing a vibrating sound is usually a sign the shaft isn’t behaving as it should. Since the store wasn’t helpful, consider taking it to a club fitter or a pro shop that can check the shaft flex and integrity. If it’s defective, you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer.
    • It’s interesting how much a 3D system changes your understanding. Observing top players in full detail and realizing the trail knee shouldn’t fully extend is a great example of why being open to new info is so important. I like your approach: not trying to be “right,” but trying to teach correctly based on actual evidence. Makes sense why golfers would benefit from this perspective.
    • I would say both are equally not the best for golf. Is it better than nothing, sure.  Golf is an athletic motion. Professional golfers are doing a comprehensive workout routine focusing on strength, power, flexibility, stability. They might include some yoga into the routine. I would put both of them in the recovery bin, not golf enhancement bin.  If you want to increase swing speed, core strength, longevity in golf and life, then lift heavy weights.
