US is sitting Phil, Bryson, Bubba, and Webb. I'm not sure I like sitting Webb for fourball, because he has made a lot of birdies and eagles this year.

Europe is sitting Poulter, Garcia, Stenson, Noren. I'm surprised Europe is sitting Poulter.

Speaking of Reed....I missed the opening ceremonies but TC was saying that Reed got booed when he got introduced ??😂

As expected. Somewhat unexpected from the Euro crowd: Tiger received a huge ovation and "Tiger" chants that lasted a pretty long time.

No, we Euros respect Tiger a lot. Off course he gets well deserved ovations.

Really? Tiger Woods? The guy with 80 wins and 14 majors? The guy that just won his 80th after years of injuries and struggles. The GOAT? I'd be surprised if he didn't get ovations.

I was so disappointed today. Forgot that the RC is a three-day event.

Good.

I’ll be cheering for America, my home, except for when Patrick Reed is playing. I will always root against Reed

Edit: just saw Reed and Tiger are paired together. Hugely disappointing pairing. I hate to root against Tiger, for whom I have great respect, but to hell with Patrick Reed

Thanks @nevets88. Pretty sweet pairings. Woods/Reed a stout combo I think. Actually all the matches are great! Gonna be awesome!

I see it going well for the U.S.

Hopefully.

Patrick Reed was kicked out of UGA for stealing from his teammates. He was also reputedly a cheater during his time there. He has a poor reputation around these parts.

I’ve never been so upset about the winner of a golf tournament as I was when he won the Masters. Least deserving Green Jacket winner ever

It had the betting odds, just wanted to get an idea of what the bookies thought. The line on the Reed/Woods match was interesting, I thought Reed/Woods would be more favored.

Molinari and Fleetwood might be the two best ball strikers on the European team. Woods is obviously the greatest ball striker of all time, but Reed isn't in same league as the other 3. I'm not surprised it's that close.

I'm actually a little surprised Rahm and Rose are favored over Koepka and Finau. Pretty significantly, too. Interesting.

Oh brother.....none of that showed to have any convincing evidence.

It’s corroborated by one of the coaches on the team. Basically everyone he played with in college says he’s a scumbag. Most of the players on tour dislike him. Maybe there’s something to it?

I'm busy tomorrow morning through early afternoon so I arranged my sleep schedule so I can get at least 2-3 hours of action tonight. Very excited.

    • I’d go with the Titleist if you liked the look of the blades but were suffering with distance. They should be a little more forgiving than a full blade and still retain some workability. Also remember to consider the shafts each have as this will be a big contributor to how they feel. Clemsonfan is right though… get fit or spend a bit of time on a launch monitor 🤙

    • Day 30, 1/30.  Six minutes this morning hitting a few more range balls, indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Did this before leaving the house.

    • Hi All my New Year’s resolution was to start playing golf again. I’ve caught the bug and am really enjoying hitting balls at a couple of my local ranges.looking forward to getting back out on courses in the spring. Based in the UK and 38 years old, I’ve been playing since I was a kid. Best handicap I’ve held is 2 in my mid 20s. Over the past 10 years I’ve played once or twice a year, sometimes with friends or for work. Could shoot 4-5 over, but just as easily shoot 15-20 over. I’ve moved to South Wales and am very lucky to be near some world class links courses, which gives me even more motivation to get playing again! I will start looking for a local coach in my area when I have more time to invest, but I recalled scouring this forum a few years ago and finding some good tips and advice so wanted to give it a try to see if there were any glaring issues I could fix in the meantime!  A few swings below… one from 1st week Jan and one from today. I have fixed my P1 takeaway to my liking and am now working on what I see as pretty severe early extension & hip thrust. Also terrible hip rotation. I’d like confirmation that this is indeed a problem and and suggestions on a few good drills. Thanks for reading 🙂 I've been Playing Golf for: 30+ years My current handicap index or average score is: 10ish over My typical ball flight is: mid The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: push right with irons, hooks and push with driver!  Videos:
