My earlier comment about Tiger shooting 60 today may have been accurate in the hypothetical, we'll find out soon, but a tad optimistic versus his performance since then.

JT smokes a 7i 210 high trajectory and the green doesn’t hold it. Man I hate when that happens...🤭

We have to remember Tiger is 42 years old, soon to be 43. In other words, he's not going to be the player he was when he 22, 32, or even 37. Jack, Phil and almost all the greats slowed down in their 40s. It's not to say he/they can't win tourneys or majors in their 40s, but it is to say consistency is a lot more difficult. I think the last month or two sums up what you're going to get from Tiger the next few years. You're going to get flashes of brilliance and flashes of his age. It's going to be up and down. That's assuming (and hoping) he can stay healthy.

That being said, next week is another opportunity for him to get a crack at a major. Not sure it's a great course for him, but hopefully he can put up a fight.

To you or JT?😉

Man, did Tiger hack the crap out the back 9 or what? That looked like my scorecard!

JDay seems to have lost control of his Driver. He put the ball in some weird spots both yesterday and today.

After the front, and #10, I thought DJ might go out and shoot a 56!

All in all, just a strange day with not a lot of drama since JT was never really threatened.

Fifty six factorial sounds more like my scores than a professional's.

    • Hopefully this one is better
    • Patrick Cantlay's strokes gained from 2024: I wonder if he takes more time on approach shots given that was the worst part of his game last season. And then here are his 2023 stats: Much better ball striking season. I wonder if there are any differences in his times between these two seasons. I tend to think he's just slow in general, but it'd be interesting to see his time differences.
    • Not sure, I think players have their own pace. Speith was always slow, regardless if he was in contention or not. Well, more so when he was in contention. It might be a push there on that question.
    • Without knowing the study at all, this could be more of a reflection of who is tournament ready and who isn't. If you have a quick trigger, it could mean your swing is working really well. Fidgeting, lots of rehearsals, maybe means your swing's not functioning as well as you'd like it to and you need more time to feel it all out before you hit your shot.
    • A study done by the European Tour shows spending less time over the ball produces better shots.  This makes sense. I can see where if you are over the ball a long time you lose the ability to make a more athletic swing. There is also the possibility of just overthinking the shot while over the wall as well and not being in the right headspace.
