Here is my 50 degree.  This one still seems like it has hits left

That's practically brand new 😀

Unfortunately, finishes on wedges can wear out fairly quickly towards the bottom half of the clubhead. If you don't mind the look, it won't affect its performance.

You could have the lie angle checked. Wedges take a lot of obuse. If it was upright from standard, that could cause left movement.

I think you read that wrong 😉

I have an old hybrid. (24 deg nike. Very thin red/silver color)  that will never be replaced. It goes about 200 yards and higher than I can hit my pitching wedge. It is good out of the rough too. I wont let anyone else hit it. Anything else can be replaced for upgrades.

For my driver I've only had 2 in the past 10 years, the G10 and my current G30. I still test out new drivers occasionally, but unless I see a measurable difference in distance, accuracy, or forgiveness I don't bother buying anything. I have, however, had to receive a replacement G30 head (Grafalloy Bi-Matrix shaft broke on my follow through and launched the head into a bunch of rocks) and had to replace the shaft a second time (after the second Bi-Matrix broke in the same way, I switched to a Tour AD-DI). I liked the Bi-Matrix shafts, but the two I used had some serious problems with the epoxy that holds the steel and graphite portions together.

For my woods I've only owned one 3-wood in the last decade. I don't use it terrible often, but the one I have (a G10) looks good to my eye and is easy enough for me to hit. It's much better off a tee than off the grass, but that's fine since that's where it gets the majority of its use. This is not because of the club, though, it's just because I installed a cut down and heavily tipped driver shaft in it so that I could get more out of it off the tee and hit shots that bore into the wind off the ground.

My irons have been replaced twice in the last 10 years. I started with PING Eye 2 irons and played with them until the grooves of the 8 iron were rolled over onto each other and flattened. I then bought a set of S55 irons which I liked (I honestly miss that 3-iron, it was stupid easy to hit) and used for several years. After that I bought used sets of Mizuno MP4's and de-chromed Titleist 716MB's to try, then sold the two used pairs and bought myself a new set of MP4's (the used clubs were just a way of getting an extended trial period before buying what I really wanted). I've used those for the last 3 years or so.

Wedges get replaced every other year. I'd like to replace them every year, and used to while I played more in high school, but in college I haven't played enough to justify that.

For putters I have used 3 different models and 4 different putters over the last ten years. I started with a Newport Midslant, later bought a Newport 2, traded the Newport 2 for a Newport Notchback, and then picked up another Newport 2. All of my putters are very similar in design, but realistically I like the Newport Notchback the most for its heavy weight. Some days I'll bring the other putters out instead just for fun and to change it up, but realistically I used the Midslant for 5 years, the Newport 2 for 1 year, and the Notchback for the last 4.

I misread your post. Ignore the lie angle part.

Let's see...I agree with " Year of the Driver".  Nice choices out there that seem to be what everyone is looking for.  Someone will find something good...but the PRICES are something else.  I think $500 is a threshold in everyone's mind.  Never heard a complaint about price until this year.

Driver replacement...every 3 years or so.  I test mine against what I'm interested in.

irons...well I had my eye2 irons from 1986 until a few years ago when the Ping i.e.-1 irons came out.  Now I've been using those for the last 3 years.  Considering the i500/Blueprint combo set with a heavier shaft than the modus 105 I have now but I can live with what I have.

Fairway woods....I have a Ping Tisi tec 3 wood that I'll never part with.  U find a good 3 wood, don't give it up.

wedges...jeez, I had my Ping set wedges for 30 years... I have the Callaway pm grind now the last 3 years, seem fine to me.

Putter...  I have my Scotty Tei3 Newport but I hate to use it since it was refinished.  Been using a Ping milled Anser 2...meh.  Looking to get rid of some putters and pick up a Scotty studio style Newport as a gamer.

If I can afford it I will replace any time performance is a "significant upgrade". I know that is subjective.

If I hit a driver 10 yard further and tighter>>worth it.

If I hit irons that don't spin like they did when I bought them >> worth replacing.

If the Iron trajectory is not holding the green any more >> worth replacing.

If a putter give me better consistency of contact and lines up noticeably better >> worth replacing.

Wedges need to be replaced because they don't bite and spin.

And Always worth a look after a big swing change.

Everything for me is about scoring so if there is a significant impact on score then I'll consider it.

Never been a club ho.....I have only had 3 sets of clubs in the 35 years of playing golf.  I retired 3 years ago and purchased a set of irons, 5-SW,  that I got fitted for.  Bought a Driver and a Fairway wood a  couple of years before I retired and kept them.  Bought a putter for my birthday to replace the SeeMore that I have used for about 20 years.  Also kept a 3H and a 4H.  I don't anticipate the purchase of any additional clubs until I get to point where I hang it up....I am 70, play at least once a week, sometimes twice.  Have been playing with the Callaway SuperSoft since it came out and don't anticipate changing that.

Some professionals won’t replace their 3 woods until they break or become unusable for another reason.

Or wedges! When I got Golf Magazine for a year for some unknown reason, every issue looked in some players bag. One month featured Patrick Reed. Everything in his bag was nice and shiny but the wedges! He had a gang of Titleist Vokeys in there that were rusted up like they'd been laying in a barn for a couple of years!

The only reason to replace a "faithful" club is if it becomes unfaithful! Of course, then I have to decide if it's the club or me!
