  2. Driver, 5W, 3H, 4H, 5 - GW, 54, 58, Putter
  3. I have a 5W, 18 degrees. My next club is 21 degree hybrid, so distance gap is ok. I like hitting the 5W off the tee and I do hit it from the fairway, although I usually prefer the hybrids from the fairway as I hit them more consistently. I've also play a 4W in the past, pretty much the same thing. Either way, I've preferred the 5W or 4W over 3W.
  4. 4 wedges: PW (45), GW (50), SW (54), LW (58). That's enough for me.
  5. My second longest club is my g30 18 degree 5 wood, really great club. Usually hit it better off the tee than off the deck, great for when the driver is misbehaving
  6. But he is the GOAT, and today's Super Bowl is just validation of that fact. How could anyone hate Tom? he is simply amazing!!
  7. I voted exercise and play better. The benefits of walking for the exercise are clear and the main thing. Plus I enjoy the walk on most courses and feel I get into the round and play better as a result.
  8. These Glide 2.0's look really nice. Ping is definitely doing it right and great reviews on theses wedges. Much cleaner look is really appealing across their range of new irons and wedges ?
  9. They look really nice. I agree with many opinions that they have a bit of the TM RAC look about them. The reviews I've seen so far are pretty good on these. Looks like Ping has another winner.
  10. I prefer the experience of hitting a club before I buy it. if you are ok to buy into a late night infomercial and giving up your cc details, good for you. Enjoy the gimmick.
  11. I voted Not Bad, but I hope he does better than that - I am a fan. I just think he has a long road ahead to get back to the kind of all round consistency he'll need. Plus, he doesn't have a power advantage over the field and I don't think he intimidates the younger guys, so guys paired up with him these days aren't likely going to have a problem with it.
  12. Lot of first time posters in this thread. Not sure about this club based on the feedback in these posts. But I'm not a fan of ordering golf clubs on-line. Have tried that, much prefer the real experience. I think I'll stick with my G30 - besides, it has turbulators.............
  13. not a matching set, but consistent for woods, hybrids, irons and wedges. Ping G30 driver and 5 wood. I don't think I'll be changing that 5 wood anytime soon, it's awesome. Titleist 915 hybrids, 3&4. I have tried a lot of different models, these just work for me better than anything else I've tried. Mizuno irons, Vokey 54 & 58 and either a Scotty or Ping Craz-E-R. Really different, but comfortable with either. So a mix of brands of clubs I like.
  14. 2 things - hit more greens in regulation and limit my 3 putts. I usually hit 5 or maybe 6 GIR on a good day, and it would make a huge difference if I could get that up to 7 or 8 a round consistently.
  15. I've been playing the B330RX this year - so we'll have to see if this affects popularity & price. It's a great ball, but there are a lot of similar options out there if the pricing becomes a problem
  16. that duck dynasty guy was pretty funny. Commenting on their hair, beards, or lack of......
  17. I just googled snakes in Florida - quite a variety of venomous and non-venemous. Then there was an article on the Green anaconda that has been found in the everglades - largest snake in the world!! And the Burmese pythons that have been found in numbers. Crazy.
  18. Sun Mountain is the way to go - excellent quality. I go with C-130 stand bag. Like the convenience of the stand bag. Larger than most I suppose but has 14 full length dividers, which is great and fits nice on my push cart. Good use of pockets, can fit everything you would need. Works well when riding also, but definitely not a bag that'd be good to carry.
  19. always. inevitably you see that guy in the cart racing back, asking if you found his club. Great to see the relief on their face when they get reunited
  20. Sounds right. I hit my 4 iron ok, but not any further than my 5 iron most of the time. I don't think I generate enough club head speed to get the most our of long irons, which is why I think hybrids work better for me. I'm sure it's that way for a lot of golfers.
  21. Amazing LDS series - Blue Jays sweep Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On to bigger and better things!!! Let's go Blue Jays!!!
  22. I don't get the negative comments on Rory. He's playing well and doing his part to pump up his team. Same thing you see from Reed on the US side. Lots of emotion - I don't have any problem with it from the players on either team. And as long as the fans let the players hit their shots, then they can cheer, jeer or whatever they want. It's actually a big part of what makes this so much more fun to watch than a regular event and most majors.
  23. Rest in peace Arnie. You're the man and always will be.
  24. I can relate to this topic - I can play a pretty good 14 or 15 holes, with a couple not so good and a couple blow up holes, triples or worse I find that my bad swings seem to come in bunches - hit a bad shot off the tee, hit a poor recovery, that type of thing. Perhaps it's a loss of focus or mental lapse when it happens as many have suggested. I just want to be done with the hole and move on.
  25. probably a 54 degree wedge, choke up a bit and a nice smooth swing, otherwise a full on 58 and hope for the best........
