Unless the Super delegates switch sides, Sanders doesn't have a chance.

Exactly, the Dem establishment is too strong and Bernie just doesn't have the power to overcome them.

A Trump - Clinton matchup is a dream for Trump, he can hammer away at her sketchy record and big bank tie-ins. He'd have a harder time with Sanders.

Then Trump would also get the young vote, or they'd just stay home. Either way, landslide.

Also, Bloomberg would jump in on a Trump - Sanders contest, but he has said he won't run against Hillary.

This is socialism. A failed experiment many times over.

Newsflash: We practice socialism, we have for over 100 years. The capitalistic system has built-in excess that if allowed to flourish without regulation would kill and does kill people, and results in economic ups and downs -- see the 2008 Depression. Our capitalist system requires gentle regulation and minimum worker's rights or owners will abuse workers. Look at history.

What we do not do in the USA is have the government own traditional private industry. When Obama did it in 2009 to save certain industries, unions and jobs, it was a temporary measure. By the way, he also saved the financial industry. Should he have done so? Depends on how much we wanted to suffer as a society. Typically, the American people want easy solutions. So it was not expedient to allow the capitalistic system to undergo a slow cycle of recovery by itself, so the government, the only entity with money at the time, infused money into the economy. The result is that our rate of unemployment was much lower than W Euro Countries during the recent Depression because our government kept the economy moving until it could recover.

Socialist? Yes. Was it successful? Yes. Why hasn't the economy moved with stronger force? Look at Congress -- we need infrastructure, a new tax code, and innovative ways to give certainty to business -- Congress has argued about power struggles instead of passing laws to help its people. That's why you see Trump and Sanders -- they are the result of doing nothing. People are frustrated.

So those of you who believe on trampling on the sick, mentally ill, disabled, and those not as talented or gifted as yourselves who work hard but will not and do not have certain skills, shame on you.

Do you think private industry will help these people? Newsflash: No (some will, most will not).

I've worked with entrepreneurs for 35 years -- they are not that forgiving although you have exceptions.

As a result, the government must step in and provide certain benefits to those who can't or are not as gifted but try to work. For those who do not want to work, they can go without benefits. Our challenge is to motivate those who want to work, and not reward the able-bodied who will not work.

How about healtcare? Socialist? Yes, to an extent. But are you going to rely on a capitalistic insurance system to provide healthcare to all? No -- they will only insure those without issues, and when they develop issues, drop them like a rock. So under a capitalistic system, people would self-insure or die. Is that what you want? If not, we must develop alternatives. ObamaCare is a start, not the end. It was insurance reform and government subsidy of private insurance. It requires reform.  How? Let's use our expertise in business and efficiency to create a healthcare system that requires people to take care of themselves -- educate them, and develop innovative ways or look at how other systems attack their health problems and put our spin on it. If we do not need to reinvent the wheel, why?

The government must step in where private industry does not for certain basic needs.

I don't disagree with your comment at all. Trump is a vocal supporter of universal health care, he understands the need to take care of those that can't take care of themselves. Note his work supporting disabled veterans as an example.

Seriously, who has even said anything anything like this? Nobody I know has any problem with assistance for the sick, mentally ill, or disabled. Heck, nobody I know even has a problem with help for people who just fall on hard times on a temporary basis. The only thing anyone I know has had a problem with is setting a ridiculously high minimum wage. I really wish you wouldn't act like any of us are trying to strip away the help that some legitimately need. And as far as I'm aware, Trump isn't trying to do anything of the sort either. Seriously, what an inflammatory and unwarranted thing to say.

That's the standard democrat scare tactic, Hillary uses it daily.

An unwarranted attack by you: "So those of you who believe on trampling..."  unless, of course, you're taking this personally. Did you read some of the posts above. It was like reading the posts of a  20th Century oligarch.

Shame on you. Read the entire post. Cherry picking is not an attractive way to discuss issues. Take off the blinders and look at both sides or you are forever trapped in delusions, not reality.

I have read all the recent posts and most of the thread in general and I still don't see where anyone ever talked about taking away anything from people who are in legitimate need. I did remove the word attack because it wasn't really appropriate and replaced it with statement. I stand by the fact that I feel it is just an inflammatory and unwarranted statement.

The U.S. is great, but it's not as great as it can be. I don't even really care about how great it used to be (or not be). But there are real problems, and ignoring that does a service to nobody.

Well done, Jeff Daniels.

Imagine if one of the candidates started something like that in a debate. "Not the greatest country in the world." That would be epic to see the looks on the faces of the moderator and the other candidates.

You don't have to imagine, because that's exactly what Trump thinks. . .

Let's not play games, this is the talking point democrats use (just as you used them) to discourage those that have sick, mentally ill, disable or lazy family members from voting Republican.  The threat is always if you elect a Republican they will take away something from you or a family member because all they care about is big business and it's a lie.

Sort of like the "[insert Dem politician name here] is out to take all of your guns" scare tactic that many republicans use???

Yes, nice video. Thanks.

What I find with being a Trump supporter is as soon as I openly show my support for him others suddenly come out of the woodwork. It's quite fun to watch. It has happened with my family, my coworkers, everywhere. People support him, and the less afraid they are to do so his numbers will continue to climb.

Back to what @saevel25 was saying about the establishment, The Club for Growth offered to support Trump if he would donate $1m, he said no. Now they are attacking him in ads in SC. He is taking the high road and refuses to get in bed with the establishment. We want this.

That's probably because Clinton has mentioned the possibility of doing something similar to what Australia did, which was a non-voluntary buy back of basically all firearms. Now, I dislike any blanket statements like that because they obviously don't apply to every candidate anyway. However, when a front runner, someone who is an actual prospect to get into the White House, makes a statement like that...  Well, it's understandable that some people would worry. Then you have Sanders saying "ban semi-automatic assault weapons which are designed strictly for killing human beings", which makes pretty much no sense... I mean how do you even classify any semi-auto as designed strictly for killing human beings anyway??

Regardless, I really do dislike the scare tactics either side uses. I care more about legitimate issues and actual stances on topics more than blanket statements made by either side.

1- are we not great now? Best Military power in the world. We are the country every 3 world citizen wants to run to.

2-if we are not great now? What period are we rolling back to?
20's
50's?
60's?
80's?

Each of those periods had their social and economic issues? Should we go back to the time of Jim Crow? Maybe back when women could not vote. Or how about back when Italian immigrants were ostracized?
Back to when we spoke of Gay and Aids in hushed tones?

Why would you think that making America great again would involve rolling back to anywhere?  You take what was was good from previous eras that's still pertinent in today's world, add in what has been improved upon since then, and combine them to move to a level above any of those.  Easy to say, harder to do, but it certainly doesn't involve rolling back to the bad old times.  That really wasn't a well thought out statement.

Not really because they say that about all democrats, including Obama, regardless of how emphatically he says the opposite.  Also, he has shown the opposite as well seeing as how his term is nearly up and he hasn't taken any guns.

Now seeing as how I'm wildly off topic, I'll say one more thing ... I commend the many nra members who are calling for the organization to distance itself from that moron Ted nugent.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled trump programming. :)

The debate last night was an embarrassment.  I don't know if it's the moderators, the candidates or the format but I've seen grammar school debates conducted with more maturity and respect than what I witnessed last night.  Kasich and Carson get props for maintaining their dignity and not slinging mud with the others.

Trump better learn how to debate issues quick, he's running out of jabs and cheap shots we haven't already heard  I did agree with him that GW did not keep us safe.  I'm tired of hearing Jeb make claims that his brother did a great job keeping us safe, the fact is if GW was doing his job and Clinton had done his 9-11 might not have ever happened.  Blood is on both of their hands.

How much hype is there with the men’s compared to the women’s? I bet you can rattle off several big names in women’s gymnastics and only a handful of men. Women’s tennis …same thing. And sure enough, their purses are the same. However, WNBA, awful…LPGA, not near as much interest than PGA. Don’t think it’s really that complicated IMO.
