Do all your clubs have the same grip?

I just changed out the grips on all my clubs today.  For the first time in probably 20 years I now have the same grip on all my clubs (except the putter).

Just curious, how many of you change out grips on new clubs (a new wedge or fw wood or driver for example) to match whats in the bag already.  Today I cut off 3 brand new grips that have never hit a ball just to get everything to match.

Anyone else try to keep everything matching?

No, I have Ping irons, Cobra driver, woods and hybrid, and SnakeEye wedges. They all have their own grips and it doesn't bother me. Maybe when all the grips need changing I'll consider having the same grip, but I like the Ping name on my irons. I wouldn't consider putting a Ping grips on a Cobra wood. So I guess I'll always have different grips on my clubs.

I had Golf Pride multi-compound on my irons and stock Callaway grips on all the other clubs. I changed to all Callaway grips and the clubs feel much better to me now.

I have the stock New Decade multicompound (standard thickness) on my Callaway XFit driver. It just seems to work better, I guess in part because I have it set slightly open, and I get a slight draw when I swing OK.

Ping B60 putter has its standard grip.

On all my other clubs, I've gone to Winn Dri-Tac (soft, midsize). For the wedges, I had two extra wraps of tape put under the bottom hand, so I can grip down without having too thin a feel.

I initially went midsize (soft) on GW and SW, FWs and 4H. The slightly thicker grips stabilized the wedges, and cut down on hook problems with the FWs and H. Overall, grip pressure felt better and more even. So, I add the midsized to my irons for winter regrip.

Basically, the common grips are a performance issue, not for looks.

Keep your irons, 3-9 the same. Wedges can be different. Winn Dri Tac are nice a soft and great for feel around the greens. The grips on my wood and hybrids match my irons but it wont matter if they dont. Although, try to keep the woods the same as one another.

Do a little research on grips before fitting. Depending where you live, wet or dry, can make the difference between holding on for dear life or keeping a good grip if conditions are poor.

Absolutely; first thing I do whenever I get a new club is replace the grip.  I want the same feeling with all my clubs.

I also put my grip of preference on when I buy a new club. I am putting a new driver in play this week and already picked up the grip. I am using the 3 Gen RELs from Lamkin with one extra wrap. I reviewed these for the trap and really like them for gloveless play.

Same here, all Golf Pride Multi Compounds (color scheme I usually match to club head/shaft). It really hurt that I had to go with black and yellow on my irons, due to my own OCD in matching color schemes, since I'm a Browns fan!

I just like having the same grip/feel throughout all of my clubs. The only stock grip that I have is on my putter, but that'll be replaced when I buy a new putter before April.

I use the same grips on all my clubs, putter being the exception. I keep extra grips at home for new purchases. First thing I do is remove the grip and put on a new matching grip.
