Recommend Me A Rangefinder

I know we have a lot of avid golfers here so let me hear all of your thoughts? I would prefer to get something that is going to last a LONG time and is built very well.

I bought the Bushnell Tour V4 last month to replace my very old and basically dead Leupold and have had no complaints so far.

This one has been on my radar. I like the price point of this one. Back in my hunting days Leupold were known for their superior clarity, notice any difference with the Bushnell vs your old Leupold?

I just bought the Bushnell Tour V5 Shift/slope, and the optics are fantastic. I use it for all approach shots. 2 yr warranty, great reviews.

Well the Leupold was from 2009 or something, so it didn’t have as many features as rangefinders typically come with now. It wouldn’t be fair to compare the two. I chose Leupold at the time because Bushnell units were much bigger back then IIRC. I liked it a lot until the display started fading. It was out of warranty and I never bothered to contact Leupold to get it fixed.

Me as well and they replaced mine four years ago because the viewer had issues even though it was past warranty.

Still have my Leupold I (10+ years). Accuracy still there but optics are fading so I might get the new Bushnell. Heard nothing but good.

I have a Leupold GX-i2, have had it since '13 or '14 (I lost my GPS unit in August of one of those years, bought this shortly thereafter, changed the battery last year for the first and so far only time).  I'm very happy with it, it's a great asset to my short game, both directly and indirectly.

I have an Precision Pro NX7-Pro as well. It's the first rangefinder I've had so I don't have a reference for comparison, but it works well enough for me and I haven't found any glaring issues with it. I've tested it against my friend's Bushnell (not sure which model) and the accuracy is comparable (limited sample size).

I've used the slope feature a lot recently playing practice rounds for an upcoming tournament on a course with plenty of uphill and downhill shots. Not sure how accurate the calculations are, but it at least gives an idea.

I can't tell you which one to pick but I might be able to offer some advice.  I've been using range finders since they became a thing for golf (maybe 15ish years ago).  I've had quite a few starting with the first Bushnell (the 400 I think).  I progressed through the 800, and 1600 before settling on one I purchased 6 or 7 years ago.  My advice is to buy the strongest power that is available. I think mine is good to 1500 yards (maybe more, not sure).  Not that I need to measure 1500 yards but measuring 240 yards is no problem and it happens very quickly.  My friends all purchased the cheaper (lower power) one handed models and they spend an inordinate amount of time trying to make a measurement.  The stronger models cost the most, spend the money up front and you won't be disappointed.  Also, get over the idea of slope measurements.  Slope just adds cost, is not legal in tournaments (not the ones I play) and is something any somewhat accomplished player should be able to figure out.  Also- Mine has the jolt feature. I turned it off.  It will only reduce the battery life.

      Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.

      Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.

      Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
