The joke's on him by Daniel Rapaport Jordan Spieth proved he's got a sense of humor after being pranked earlier this...

I thought this was an absolutely stupid prank to play. What a dope....Anyone else?

This would be funny for the prankster, but I imagine most victims wouldn’t have taken it as well as Spieth did. I would definitely be mad if some idiot tried to pull this one on me. Imagine how it would’ve unfolded if it had been played on the likes of John Daly or Rory McIlroy...

I have a newfound respect for and a heightened likability factor for Mr. Spieth now, for the reserved and mature way he handled this episode.  Wonder how Mr. DeChambeau might have fared???

I am with @DeadMan.  Never mess with someone's ball you do not know.

I have screwed around with my buddy's ball a few times (after marking it).  Typically I mark his ball on the green and then give him a plugged lie in the bunker.  Or I will shout, "It's in the hole!" after a tee shot on a long par 3.  He recently had cataract surgery so I won't be able to do that anymore.

Funny thing is this year he made an ace on the closing 200 yard par 3 at Pierce Lake.  I and the player who joined us mid-round both exclaimed, "It is in!!!", but Marty wouldn't believe us until he took the ball out of the hole.
