White Belts for Golf

  1. 1. What does wearing a white belt while playing golf say about you?

    • I’m on the cutting edge of the golf fashion world!
      2
    • I swing so fast, the vortex created by my arms pulled all the dye color out of my belt.

    • I only wear white to match the white sox I wear with my golf sandals.

    • I don’t wear a white belt because I’m a slob and it would get covered with ketchup from my hot dog at the turn,

    • Belts hold up my pants. The color doesn’t matter to me.

The bit about being a slob does ring pretty true. I generally avoid white clothes. But. ...

I'm not secure enough in my masculinity to wear a white belt. More power to those that are. Hopefully, those guys are also wearing tassels on their golf shoes.

I don't eat hot dogs at the turn, but basically this.

I care what color my belt is inasmuch as I'd like it to "work" with my other items of clothing. That doesn't mean everything is the same color, of course, but if I have a blue shirt and grey pants, and the blue shirt has white stripes in it, I might wear a white hat, white belt, and white socks/shoes. Or I might wear those things white and wear a blue belt.

I may wear a white belt, but at least I don’t play a shaft that doesn’t fit my swing just because it’s blue.

Hey in all fairness. Right now there really isn't a shaft made that would actually "fit" my swing.

@boogielicious I laughed out loud when a read the part about Chicago Public Schools. Thanks, brother totally made my day.

I thought of a few more things the white belt could say about you.

1 - I'm a female pop star, or female pop star wannabe.

2 - I'm in the navy.

3 - I sell ice cream for a living.

I bet some of them are wearing pink panties too...

But only because they’re comfortable in their masculinity!  😂

A few more suggestions for reasons:

- I have more in my closet than 14 shades of khaki.

- I realize there is more to life than my black work belt.

- I like to look good even if I play like 💩

- I realize cargo shorts should only be worn when no one can see you in them.

Oh, my goodness! Those are funny!

Best part, I never put anything in the cargo pockets of my cargo shorts.

Wait, you don’t even use them for their intended function? You actually like the way they look?

They NEVER wear out! They are in-de-f-ing-struck-able!

I bought some back when Eddie Vedder was making grunge into a thing. ... I still have them.

I wouldn't choose to wear a white belt regardless of the fashion statement it might or might not have.  I'd just get it dirty and it wouldn't look good (probably from the charcoal gray seats of my man-cave car).

I still don't get the thing about cargo pants.  The first time I ever had them (long legs, not shorts), it was required of me--my BDU while in the military many moons ago after I had to give up the flight suit. (Seems like a millennium now.)  I only recall seeing them in civilian life after getting out of the military, and didn't think much of it until I heard that it's somehow a fashion faux pas.  Okay, yeah, they're not real stylish in a sense, but they're more of a utility style piece of clothing anyway.

    • Ive seen more and more people doing it over the years. Its never bothered me at alll.  Unless its country music...get that nonsense outta here..  Sudden sounds is what bothers me on the course, not really consistent noise.
    • They just made it a state law: Beginning Nov. 24: Negative COVID-19 test result required prior to departure to avoid 14-day quarantine in Hawaii. Tests ONLY accepted from TRUSTED TESTING AND TRAVEL PARTNERS HAWAII'S PRE-TRAVEL TESTING PROGRAM The state of Hawaii will ONLY accept Nucleic Acid... But like @Vinsk said, it is a joke. How difficult is it to just stay home?
    • My wife is going on day 9 of no taste or smell, her daily headaches have seemingly gone away so that's a positive step and I had a couple days of slight congestion but nothing significant. Our quarantine is set to be over on Thursday, probably will wait until Friday or Saturday before leaving the house.
    • But it’s not really. A lot can happen from the time one tests negative to boarding the plane. Or the test may have not detected the virus at test time. Testing negative when asymptomatic isn’t that reliable due to  the unknown status of the virus in the body if present. This silly ‘ negative test no more than 72hrs old’ is a joke. Sure it’s better than nothing....but barely.  Sadly, people are flocking to urgent care clinics and testing sites to get their golden ticket to travel. It’s irresponsible.
    • Came across this video last night. Impressive.
