There has been some banter about wearing white belts when playing golf. Share your thoughts.

I may wear a white belt, but at least I don’t play a shaft that doesn’t fit my swing just because it’s blue.

The bit about being a slob does ring pretty true. I generally avoid white clothes. But. ...

I'm not secure enough in my masculinity to wear a white belt. More power to those that are. Hopefully, those guys are also wearing tassels on their golf shoes.

I don't eat hot dogs at the turn, but basically this.

I care what color my belt is inasmuch as I'd like it to "work" with my other items of clothing. That doesn't mean everything is the same color, of course, but if I have a blue shirt and grey pants, and the blue shirt has white stripes in it, I might wear a white hat, white belt, and white socks/shoes. Or I might wear those things white and wear a blue belt.

Hey in all fairness. Right now there really isn't a shaft made that would actually "fit" my swing.

@boogielicious I laughed out loud when a read the part about Chicago Public Schools. Thanks, brother totally made my day.

I thought of a few more things the white belt could say about you.

1 - I'm a female pop star, or female pop star wannabe.

2 - I'm in the navy.

3 - I sell ice cream for a living.

I bet some of them are wearing pink panties too...

But only because they’re comfortable in their masculinity!  😂

A few more suggestions for reasons:

- I have more in my closet than 14 shades of khaki.

- I realize there is more to life than my black work belt.

- I like to look good even if I play like 💩

- I realize cargo shorts should only be worn when no one can see you in them.

Oh, my goodness! Those are funny!

Best part, I never put anything in the cargo pockets of my cargo shorts.

Wait, you don’t even use them for their intended function? You actually like the way they look?

They NEVER wear out! They are in-de-f-ing-struck-able!

I bought some back when Eddie Vedder was making grunge into a thing. ... I still have them.

I wouldn't choose to wear a white belt regardless of the fashion statement it might or might not have.  I'd just get it dirty and it wouldn't look good (probably from the charcoal gray seats of my man-cave car).

I still don't get the thing about cargo pants.  The first time I ever had them (long legs, not shorts), it was required of me--my BDU while in the military many moons ago after I had to give up the flight suit. (Seems like a millennium now.)  I only recall seeing them in civilian life after getting out of the military, and didn't think much of it until I heard that it's somehow a fashion faux pas.  Okay, yeah, they're not real stylish in a sense, but they're more of a utility style piece of clothing anyway.
