The Pixies -- Doolittle, 1989. Still sounds good today! #80spushback.

The Pixies, one of my all time favorite bands. 1988:

Huge Corr's fan here - such talented girls - they each play multiple instruments very very well.    Violin player is stunningly gorgeous & such a great musician.      Drummer is just scary hot - the way she bounces on the drum seat & just lays it down - such a cool chick.      My favorite song starts at 33:20 ... Forgiven Not Forgotten (when the drums start at 34:40 gives me chills)

Thanks for posting - haven't listened to them in years - brought back memories !!

Zis, my fwends, iz vat they call - velocity . How does one play so fast? How does one hit a 315 yard drive? Innate ability helps... a lot. My forearms hurt just watching this. For those who don't play, this is really, really hard.

I don't think I can out do Bowie in showmanship. The guy was probably the best on stage performer besides maybe Freddie Mercury. But I counter your Mick Ronson with the best lyrical songwriter of all time, Bob Dylan

Well @saevel25 , you certainly raised the ante with that one! Hard to top Dylan, especially that particular performance and that particular song, a personal fave that is constantly being reinvented.

All right I'll play. I see your Bob Dylan and raise you Tom Waits.

"I was born at a very young age...", and crowd just sits there stone faced??? :-\ WTF! Hilarious line.

    • I agree.  I think I'll trounce them at Monology tonight. ... Bwahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • I’ve never really let my kids win at anything deliberately. I mostly just played games a little bit more casually just to try to match their ability to strategize, but if they won it wasn’t because I threw the game or anything. I don’t feel like my kids need to or should win all the time. That’s not how life works, and the sooner they learn that, the better off they will be.
    • That’s going to be a no from me. Why should I pay extra for new technology just because of their R&D cost? I doubt they’re going to be transformative. I’ll stick with the old tech if it’s cheaper.
    • I almost did a coffee spit take.  Well played sir. Well played.
    • My whole family likes Mille Bourne. We've done family tournaments. I've always enjoyed Euchre too. My company has an annual Euchre tournament.  My kids like Monopoly. I like it too, but my wife makes me let the kids win.  ... BTW - How old do your kids have to be before you no longer have to let them win at Monopoly? Cuz, I keep suggesting to my wife that I should be allowed to smoke them by now.  Our family also plays Blokus Trigon a lot, a bunch of Spy Alley and a bit of Azul.
