Speaking of rain

An aside, just a stream of conscious. So I'm a digital immigrant, so knew the days before song identification apps. It's been awhile since I've not been able to identify a song, the dark ages, but forgot to Soundhound a song that was playing in the restaurant recently. While I heard it, loved the tune, meant to ID it with the smartphone, got distracted. Asked the waitress, proprietary playlist, no love. It's probably post 2005, alternative, rock, pop, guitars, no synthesizers, somewhat Jeff Buckley-ish. Very catchy staccato guitar riff. Have been searching Spotify playlists, will eventually play out the tune on a keyboard to Midomi, but a FWP, a search for the long lost song. Sometimes losing a song feels like a little death.
