Thunderstorms this time of year are often in the evenings when it cools down a bit.

yea, weather.gov has no clue yet what is going on. 0.02" over 12 hours is just a pop up shower, nothing much.

I played at RNK, I’ll be fine in some showers.

If I hit any houses I’m blaming it on @RFKFREAK.

I've played zero times so far this year and have hit the range 3 times,

I think the bookmakers have me at +50 at hitting a house. 😞

Leaving Saturday night for Twinsburg b/c I have a commitment during the day.  Looks like I'll be getting in at 3AM.

And I thought I came to these things unprepared.

None of us have played much. The weather's been shit.

Well you do live in Buffalo after all!

Looks like there are lots of houses we can hit too! Has anyone played here?

While I'm not attending this outing, I have played the course a number of times growing up. But it's been over 10 years since I was last there. It was always well manicured, but not sure if that's changed over the past decade.

Even though it's not that long on paper, I feel like it even plays shorter than the yardage would indicate. A few of the par 4s don't call for driver off the tee. In some regards it's a position course. 18 is a nice finishing hole with the approach shot over water.

And yes, there are plenty houses to hit. My cousin hit the same house on one of the par 5s just about every round he played. If nothing else, he was at least consistent.

Hey, everyone.  Won't be able to make it tomorrow so if there's someone who was on the fence about going and can make it, the slots open.

Well, we successfully dodged the rain. It was a tad windy and the course was very soggy. Still, it was a great time. I will get some pictures up later this evening, hopefully if I do not pass out too early today. I didn't get to bed till around 2am last night. Lack of sleep + 18 holes of golf is hitting me.

    • Really looking forward to this!  Three more days... @StuM I sent you a DM with my GHIN #.  Let me know if you need anything else.
    • Someone in town was selling a used whygolf pressure plate. I grabbed it. It’s good to remind me about getting the weight forward but I think the big value will be in practicing ball below the feet lies that I really struggle with lol
    • Been a bit. Have a lot going on but hope you have all been well. Came back to New Hampshire for an unexpected extended stay. Got to play 9 this morning in Topsfield, MA. Par 35 and I shot a 48 but was happy with it. Started off bogey, triple, bogey, triple, triple and thought ok, let's just enjoy playing. Was hitting driver awful but kept at it. Hit what felt like an awful drive at six only to leave me 112 to the pin from the middle of the fairway. Hit a 9 iron to 15 feet and 2 putt for par. Bogey on the next followed by a par on an uphill par 3. Hit a pulled drive on 9 but fine in the left half of fairway 143 out. Pulled 7 iron completely ignoring the fact that I had my brother's set (didn't bring mine out with me), and his 7 iron has a 27°loft. Ten feet off the back of the green which ended in bogey. 2 over for the last 4 holes which made leaving the course feel pretty good. Told myself coming up hole 5, hey how about turning your right hip back. Worked like a charm.
    • day 74. Slow short swings arching the left wrist. Some good outcomes. Some open face shanks. Some poor strikes. Hopefully the wrist movement was working though.
    • 6 under in a team of four high handicap golfers seems kind of sketch.
