Thunderstorms this time of year are often in the evenings when it cools down a bit.

yea, weather.gov has no clue yet what is going on. 0.02" over 12 hours is just a pop up shower, nothing much.

If I hit any houses I’m blaming it on @RFKFREAK.

I've played zero times so far this year and have hit the range 3 times,

I think the bookmakers have me at +50 at hitting a house. 😞

Well you do live in Buffalo after all!

Looks like there are lots of houses we can hit too! Has anyone played here?

While I'm not attending this outing, I have played the course a number of times growing up. But it's been over 10 years since I was last there. It was always well manicured, but not sure if that's changed over the past decade.

Even though it's not that long on paper, I feel like it even plays shorter than the yardage would indicate. A few of the par 4s don't call for driver off the tee. In some regards it's a position course. 18 is a nice finishing hole with the approach shot over water.

And yes, there are plenty houses to hit. My cousin hit the same house on one of the par 5s just about every round he played. If nothing else, he was at least consistent.

Hey, everyone.  Won't be able to make it tomorrow so if there's someone who was on the fence about going and can make it, the slots open.

Well, we successfully dodged the rain. It was a tad windy and the course was very soggy. Still, it was a great time. I will get some pictures up later this evening, hopefully if I do not pass out too early today. I didn't get to bed till around 2am last night. Lack of sleep + 18 holes of golf is hitting me.

    • Something just popped into my head, based on your mention of the folks who "know the rules" but are generally wrong.  Another comment I read was "the Rules ALWAYS said.....".  When I come across those I often go to  www.ruleshistory.com to see if the rules ever said that.  You can find every (almost?) version of the rules since the first set in 1744.  Its fun to return to the conversation and say "You're a little bit right, the rules said that at one time, but that changed in 1984.  You've been playing under the wrong rule for 40 years!"
    • Hi, checking back in to see if any St. Louis area golfers get together for a round or three during the year.  I have recently dropped my membership in a local league this year to work on my game and meet other people.  I would love to hear from anyone that would be interested in meeting for a round in the St. Louis area.   Rick
