How many tee markers are there at the #8 tee box?  When Scheffler teed off there a moment ago (great drive), it looked like there were three markers and he teed it up outside of them.  But at my age, my eyes aren't very reliable (one of a few reasons I don't use them to putt).

Will Z had a great tee shot at 6... or at least a great result.  NLU said yesterday he hasn't aimed at a pin yet this tournament (54 holes when they said it).  I mean, my scores dropped when I started to follow the #DeadCenter philosophy so maybe at an Open it would make sense to try that.

After their respective tee shots on #7, you'd think Fitzpatrick and Zalatoris would ask if they can share a cart. 😉 

Fitz and Scottie having the "Oops, I should not have reached six under" moment.  Scottie had a pretty good recovery for his fourth though.  

Remember when Phil had three balls come back to his feet at Torrey in '08?

Second time in two holes Zalatoris is right next to the pin.  Either two lucky shots, or he's aiming at pins, or somewhere in between. 

Fitzpatrick's approach at #7 reminds me of my first tournament at my then-home course.  There were closest to the pin awards by flight, and I won on #8 with a pin position and approach shot comparable to where Fitzpatrick's just ended up (I was the only one in my flight to hit the green that day).

Did he really just compare golf, where we know it is possible to do a near-commercial-free broadcast (especially when the leaders are on the first nine) to two events that are designed around showing commercials?
