It’s good to see Tom Kim up there on the leaderboard. Didn’t really know much about him until watching Netflix full swing season 2?

I was looking at Schauffele shot tracker and man he hit some great iron shots and drained everything 15ft and in..

I saw other things that said the relief was from the cart path not the ropes.

Yeah, I think TFE got this one wrong. Cart path relief, as Harman is a lefty, not rope relief.

In the hypothetical case of a right hander: Is the rope here a TIO anyway? I would think they could displace it sufficiently should an opportunity have risen, yes?

From what I gathered, a pedestrian near the entrance to Valhalla Golf Club was hit in an accident and killed, causing the police to investigate and stop traffic. Players and other people involved in the tournament were still being allowed in. Scheffler attempted to bypass the traffic to get into the property and was arrested. The entire thing escalated pretty quickly.

I am trying to think of any reason for the cop to escalate it that quickly. I can't think of one reason. Like, did he think Scottie was the one who hit the pedestrian?  

Like, let him pass, follow him, and question him. Why was the cop reaching into a moving vehicle to grab onto the driver of the vehicle. How is that safe for anyone. I swear, cops make the stupidest decisions.

      Is it Important to Hit Real Golf Balls When Practicing Swing?

      If you got space for it, a hitting net is also a good option that allows you to hit real balls. I do most of my full swing practice on a net st home these days. I find it very valuable to hit balls. I can do something different in ten rehersal swings and on the next full swing just do my normal swing. Muscle memory and having done something thousands of time is difficult to overcome. A combination of slow swings, testing new feelings and full swings is better than only swinging without a club. The better players and instructors can probably get more value out of swinging without hitting anything.

      Detry making some good length putts today. Defying probability with a pretty good round. +4.3 strokes gained putting. Not sure this is sustainable.  Nicolas Echavarria, leading the field with +3.72 AVG strokes gained approach. He is -2.51 strokes gained putting.  Right now, I would put money on Aberg, Top 10 strokes gained putting, top 5 strokes gained approach and leading in strokes gained off the tee.  Rory's putter needs to heat up. Another all-around good play is Tony Finau, +1 to +2 strokes gained in putting, approach, around the green and off the tee.  Live Tournament Stats - U.S. Open Live strokes gained and traditional statistics from every round of this week’s PGA Tour event in a customizable table.

      Day 589, June 14, 2024 Played at Kahkwa Club today. I hit some really good shots, and some really bad ones, particularly warming up. I wasn't really in it but should have been. Dumb.

      Yeah, I would think balls not grabbing on these greens = defensive golf. On another note, I seem to have jinxed Scheffler and  Kentucky has declared a statewide national holiday in celebration. Groan.
