What do you guys think the top five in the world will look like 5 years from now? I know that some of the guys who might be are still way under the radar, so just use guys currently on tour. If you feel like it, you can give a guess at how many points each person will have.

For reference, the top 5 in the world as of the end of the PGA Championship:
1. Tiger Woods...........18.36
2. Phil Mickelson..........9.87
3. Padraig Harrington....7.85
4. Sergio Garcia...........6.13
5. Vijay Singh..............5.63

I'll start:
1. Tiger Woods.............17.5
2. Anthony Kim.............10.0

I think Tiger will still be #1, but I expect Anthony Kim to be #2. He may be arrogant, but Kim definetly has got some game.
Beyond that, Im not sure. Im sure Phil will still be hanging around the top 5 and I expect a couple young players who arent well-known to move up by then.

Yes you are definately in the minority. The guy is the greatest out there. He had knee surgery and will be back. It was not career threatening.

This is the best list I've seen, IMHO. It's hard for me to think of Tiger NOT being #1, but he will at least still be in the top 5. Paddy and Sergio will continue their good play and perhaps elevate each other with this mini-rivalry they seem to have developed. If Kim continues on the path he's on now, he might well be the best bet to dethrone Tiger in the next five years. He's got the talent and he doesn't seem to be scared of anything... yet. And Phil will still be hanging onto the top 5 by some magic that most of us still don't understand.

Tiger will come back and get back to business as usual: winning. He is expected to fully recover and the doctors are saying that it wont hinder his golf swing, so I see no reason why his reign is over.

      Code of Conduct Not Entered as Local Rule - Still Valid?

      Rule 1.2b refers you to a section in the Committee Procedures (Section 5I) that helps explain what a Code of Conduct may (and may not) do.  Defining acceptable behavior (including smoking) and applying Stroke of DQ penalties are certainly within the Committee's authority. That Code of Conduct certainly should be available, either in written form or in a webpage accessible to all.  It may not show up on the "standard local rules" for an organization, the "hard card", as it sounds like its a policy of this particular golf course. Assuming that's the case it should show up on the Notice to Players for this particular event.  If you can't find it, ask someone, send an email, try to find out.   In summary, yes the Committee can DQ (or withdraw) a Player for smoking, even before or between rounds.  But its up to you to go from there, communication is the key here.

      Hmm... I not sure I completely understand. If the course has a no smoking policy, then he shouldn't smoke at the course.  I'm assuming since you are aware of the policy, it must be written down somewhere.  As far as getting disqualified from the tournament, I would think that would be up to the committee. But it feels like it is within their power to disqualify, so why take the chance?
