Counting my bag, clubs, shoes, gloves, balls, trolley, and the electronics I'd say the whole assortment is worth under $750.00. My metal woods are components. If I add in the right cigars, ice, beer, and snacks, I can get close to $800.00. Actually I have more golf club money just sitting around, doing nothing in my garage.

In My Bag:
A whole bunch of Tour Edge golf stuff......

Overall I probably have around $2000 invested in my clubs and it took me probably 5 years to assemble.

Ok I lied... This is what retail was, I probably have put another grand or two into it with shafts, grips, shoes, and other gear.

In the bag:
Driver: R9 Supertri
3W: R9
3i-PW: Mizuno Mp-68
Wedges: Taylormade Racs
Putter: PING Redwood blade

I'm a bargain hunter. Last year I got back into golf after a 20 year layoff. I didn't want to play with really old stuff so I started buying online and going to golf stores and hunting.

Driver- Cobra Amp Cell $72 off Ebay, also just recently purchased a an Aldila Phenom shaft for $27 off ebay as an upgrade to the stock shaft.

3 woods- Cobra Amp $25 demo from Golfsmith or sometimes I bag a Nike VRS used club from Golfsmith $10

3 Hybrid- Adams Idea Tech v4 $19 demo from Golfsmith

4h, 5h, 6h, 7 iron-Gap Wedge - Cobra Baffler XL's- open box, only two weren't still in the factory plastic, off ebay for $175.

6 iron- Callaway Razr forged Golfsmith demo $1.99. I take my 6 hybrid out and game this from time to time, if I'm hitting my irons well!

55 & 61 degree Cobra Trusty Rusty Wedges- used from Golfsmith at $27 a piece

Odyssey DF 550 putter- $20 used from play it again sports. I had 1 and 1/2 inches taken off and regripped at Nevada Bobs for $27.

Used Cobra golf bag off ebay for $25.

All for a grand total of $455.99.

Bought my clubs in January and had to pay myself and spent a lot of money. With my bag, irons, woods, grips, and everything else I ended up near 2k and I am getting fitted for a new putter next week which I think will put me over 2k

I was thinking about this few weeks ago when I checked them in for a flight. Value is what it would cost to replace. I counted and came to about $2,100-$2,200 to replace everything from scratch I have which includes, Irons, 4-GW, 2 Ping wedges, Putter, Driver, 2 hybrids, rangefinder and Mizuno carry bag.

I think most people posting here are confusing what their clubs are "worth" vs what they spent for them. These numbers will undoubtebly differ...either direction. My Ping S55's 4-W along with Tour Gorge wedges 50,54,58 all with Aerotech -110 steel fiber shafts...probably $1700 new. My titleist AP2's 4-PW... Even though the title uses the work "worth" in the text ofr OP's original post he specifically says:

Gauranteed to confuse people.

It's not surprising that some are stating what they are worth and some what they spent.

Bag. titleist carry bag. $200 Driver,3-wood,4-wood and hybrid (all titleist 913 off eBay). $400 Mizuno 3-PW MP 69s $800 Titleist Vokey wedges 50,56,60,64. With modifications $800 Cameron Newport putter with modifications. $600 That's a superset of everything that can be out with me due to the 14 club rule I change up once in a while. So it's pushing $3000. Took me 3 years to put everything together. I love the new bag but the old one kept collapsing on me. I spent some money on having things engraved on my putter and wedges. No wonder I don't leave my clubs at the club. I bring them home with me. My recent tourney winnings had me spring for a new SC head cover since my old one was falling apart. Never realized how all this added up. Forturately I think I have a set for the next ten years at least.

    • This is an awesome breakdown. most of the bigger tournaments usually have one wave with the advantage, Thank you for the breakdown. If it is soft then it will be a lower final score
    • Over the past 15 years, the winning score has ranged from -10 to -20. Mostly around -13.  Here is Thursday and Friday weather. Saturday and Sunday weather. I think the course will play soft. Plenty of sky cover, lots of rain on Thursday. Fairways and greens will probably stay soft throughout the week.  In terms of tee times, I think Thursday morning and Friday afternoon have the biggest advantage. I am excited to see who can handle it and who cant. Last year we got a foreshadowing of JJ and Rory, I am excited for this year Who do people have winning? what will the winning score be? I am thinking 12 or 13 under
