Finished The Bureau in like 3 weeks. Amazing French spy show. Better than Homeland, Counterpart, all of them.

New Mythic Quest episode was fun.

Not crazy about first episode of Mosquito Coast.

Oh yeah, finished the second season of For All Mankind. Wasn’t crazy about a couple of storylines but it was interesting seeing the moon base story play out.

4 episodes in on Warrior and it’s pretty good.

I’m actually enjoying the animated series Invincible. Pretty gory but being a cartoon makes it less jolting. Good story line and characters. Looking forward to seasons 2 and 3.

That first episode absolutely blew me away with its epilogue.  It's been a wild ride, that's for sure.

Oh, is that based on the comic?   The comic was awesome.   I dropped off with that way too soon.

The Queens Gambit has been my favorite this year.  Although I’ve been watching the Brokenwood Mysteries for some quirky milder mysteries when I get a chance.

I haven’t read the comic but yes I’ve read it’s off the comic series.

Well now I have to look it up.   The writer for Invincible, the comic, is really, really good.   I didn’t know they had a TV show.   Awesome!

Started watching Netflix's "Startup." Not sure I love it yet, but I'm on episode 6 I think.

Ted Lasso > Mythic Quest

You just feel so great after watching Ted Lasso. You don't feel great after watching Mythic Quest. You're entertained, and it's funny, but it doesn't make you want to be a better human being.

Totally agree about Ted Lasso.  It is just so damn life affirming.  I've really tried to incorporate his attitude into my daily life, and as corny as it may sound, it really had an impact on me as a teacher this year.

I know I'm a year or so behind, but I'm finally watching In The Dark I'll Be Gone.  Fantastic series so far with another two episodes to go.  I hear the just released an epilogue episode this week.

Mare of Easttown was really good. The two Mythic Quest bottle episodes with the writers I'd argue are even better than that bottle episode Dark Quiet Death in the first season. New season of Lupin, halfway through, resolved the season 1 cliffhanger pretty well. Sweet Tooth was surprisingly good as well. Kind of The Road meets Paddington Bear.

    • Okay, so last night I went to my local place that does PXG fittings. I had every intention of testing out the PXG Allan Putter... which I did. But then, I ended up making either the greatest purchase ever or the worst. Time will tell. I ended up getting fit for and buying a PXG secret weapon... Yeah, I impulse bought a mini-driver.  🤷‍♂️ Clearly PXG saw me coming. Because it's a really good looking club and ... I like shiny things. They've done a great job on the look of this mini driver. I mean it looks great. When sitting down by the ball it looks like a 3-wood. It's actually kind of hard to tell from the top which is bigger the 0311XF or the Secret Weapon. But then you pick it up and realize there's more face than a 3 wood. I think the best way to describe it would be it's the look and color scheme of the Black Ops 3-wood, but the footprint of the 0311XF with a slightly taller face. Which in my opinion looks awesome.  My swing right now is a bit of a work in progress. But I was able to hit the club off the deck and off a tee, with about a 10 yardish advantage hitting off the tee. I also found I had the best results teeing it pretty low. I know, I was hitting it off a mat, so I had a perfect lie every time, but I was very surprised how well it performed off the deck. Currently I don't try to hit my 3-wood unless I get a perfect or near perfect lie anyway, so I think this club will be just fine as a 3-wood replacement.  One thing that was kind of cool, is the best shaft for me turned out to be the Hzrdus Black, 6.0 60. It was a pretty clear winner; Even in terms of feel. That shaft is one of the no upcharge shafts. I will say the Ventus Blue 6 Velocore performed very well. The Ventus Blue 6 Velocore is $300 upgrade. The Ventus also looked great. It's a great color, but the Hzrdus actually gave me better numbers so kudos to the folks at Project X.  Lastly, I broke all my personal rules when it comes to buying golf clubs.  1 - Never buy a club after only hitting for one session. Come back and see if you can repeat the results before buying .... I didn't do that. I just bought it.  2 - It's always a good idea to wait until the newest models come out and then buy the previous or even 2 years back models deeply discounted. ... I didn't do that.  3 - Never impulse buy a club. Always be certain the club fills a certain need in your bag. ... I didn't do that. I was perfectly happy with my 3-wood, until....  4 - Always bring the club you want to replace with you so that you can test it side by side on the same day against the new club. .... I didn't do that either.  5 - Never buy new clubs while you are in the middle of a swing change. ... Looks like I'm 0 for 5.  So, I'm probably an idiot for impulse buying a mini-driver. But man, it's so cool. And I can't wait to get it.
    • Feels are personal. Some people will feel like it's a hit, some will feel like it's a swing. Some will feel like it's one and then have other swings, even in the same round, that feel like the other. "Swing" and "hit" are feel words.
    • I have reviewed the entire Swing Thoughts forum and this question has been answered many times in many ways. I am posting to seek help in clearing my own thoughts. Hogan says for the average golfer to "keep any conscious hand action out of his swing". 6 pages later he also says "Hit the ball as hard as you can with both hands".  This appears to be a contradiction. My drives are respectable (I can find them) when I focus on swinging with loose wrists. If I try to "hit" the ball it all turns to doo doo. Strangely, I can "hit" a 7 iron - and it is more satisfying than just swinging at it! I have been told that my swing is fast. Advice please
