I was having a conversation with a friend regarding the use of sport team hats (not golf of course) on the course.

Most people sport their favorite brand such as Taylor Made, Titleist, Cally...so on, on their noggins...but others use their favorite team sport such as Steelers or JETS (please!!!!) hats.

Any thoughts.... Keep it golf related or use whatever?
It's the indian, not the arrow! But it sure is nice to have good arrows!!!!!

I say whatever. I find it hard enough to find a cap that's made like I like em without going into much of what's on it other than colors that suit me.

Whomever is responsible for all the caps these days with the cardboard in them but that don't actually stand up on their own needs a good smackin.

until a golf manufacturer pays me to wear their logo on my hat I will wear continue to wear hats that sport the non-golf logo of my choice.

These days I'm not too picky as long as you're not wearing jeans and those stupid sandals with spikes...

If you invested in a golf manufacturers stock they would pay you, and then you would want to wear the reflecting company logo, the more they make the more you make

OP, I keep it golf related, but don't mind what other people wear, I love freedom of choice

Yeah, I look really goofy in hats so its hard to find one that fits my head right. But thankfully Callaway's Low Pro Tour hat is just right. But, I am actively searching for an all white Dodgers hat.

But you have a username which is a particular product, as well as an avatar which is a specific product, rather than a general, golf related one.

Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. The "freedom of choice" you espouse consists of parroting company slogans, referring people to advertisements with a nauseating wink emoticon and then playing a club for two days and calling it the best ever. I would love to read an opinion of yours which is truly based on freedom of choice and original thought rather than what advertisers are trying to sell.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

SNAP! You tell him Shorty.

Due to my lovely handicap I would never wear a golf cap. I would feel like a poser. So just a normal hat for me.

Wear whatever, there's really no reason to keep it only golf related.

I went from Washington Wizards to Callaway to Under Armour. I have to like the brand/team and the style/color of the hat. My Under Armour hat is amazing; it has a built in UA-fabric head band that absorbs sweat and keeps my head cool.

Tell me about it. For about 2 years, I wore an all white (except for the logo) Mets hat. More damned people would ask how I can be a fan of that team. It's especially frustrating where I'm at because it's a solid 80% Yankees fans here... and then there are about 10% Phillies fans.

Now, I can wear that hat with pride (for a few days anyway) as they've taken 5 straight FROM the Yankees and Phillies. CY

Wear whatever you want. I like to match (yeah I know that is kind of gay) so I wear one that looks good with whatever shirt and shorts im wearing. My favorite hat right now is my Cincinnati Tea Party hat. That gets me some looks and comments by people who don't agree with me or are just retarded and don't understand who we are.

    • The chatter in my brain is when the distance is between clubs since I am pretty weak at shortened backswings, etc. I try to simply decide if being long or short is the better outcome and choose my club based on that and simply not even try for the “real” distance.  For me a full normal swing is what I strive for.
    • I saw this comment made in a golf article... "Most golfers stand over a 4- or 5-iron still negotiating with themselves. They think about how hard to swing, whether they have the right club, if they have the aim correct and more. It’s a lot to deal with and long irons punish the “half-in” golf swing." I am not sure the "most golfers" is correct regarding the bolded part. I can understand if there is a bunker, water, and/or OB that a lot of golfers would be fixated on that. I am not sure that leads to ending up more times there. Pending your level in golf, the variance is so large in outcomes, it could be just with in the expected outcomes. I can understand if have a big lake on the right side of the hole being one of the most terrifying shots for right-handed amateur golfers.  I am not sure many golfers are standing over the ball talking to themselves, "Ok, maybe I should step back and pull the 4-iron. Am I lined up right? Oh, the wind came up, should I swing harder? What am I going to have for dinner tonight, maybe steak. (Joking, somewhat 😛)" A question is that how much chatter do you get while standing over the ball. Are you questioning the everything about your golf shot?
