I know Tiger is easily the most famous golfer ever but you have wonder hypothetically if he doesn't ever get it turned around how long does the media and tv coverage continue showing him?

With two rounds left I think anyone at +1 or +2 still has a chance.  None of the top ten have really contended in a major before.

You have to like Stevie's chances; after all, he is the last caddy to win a PGA after winning the week before.

I was wondering the same thing, at this point the story is how far he's fallen from the golfer he once was, but eventually that will not be news.  The commentators were trying to sound empathetic, but you could tell they were enjoying the opportunity to discuss and analyze his current game and swing.

What it really shows is the inability of the other golfers to gain sufficient public attention that they become more newsworthy than Tiger even when he's golfing poorly.

Yeah. Still wide open. I like Scott for it now, but also have a funny feeling about Gary Woodland coming through.

You might have missed it, but he looked like that when he was winning too.

I appreciated them showing the caddies (every player's caddy) as little as possible.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

Is there anywhere where you can get the stats for the week (GIR etc)? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Seconded. I always struggle with finding stats and stuff during the majors and high profile tournaments, with their own websites.

Ogio Grom | Callaway X Hot Pro | Callaway X-Utility 3i | Mizuno MX-700 23º | Titleist Vokey SM 52.08, 58.12 | Mizuno MX-700 15º | Titleist 910 D2 9,5º | Scotty Cameron Newport 2 | Titleist Pro V1x and Taylormade Penta | Leupold GX-1

The US Open and the Open both had the stats on their sites and pretty interactive leaderboards. The PGA is lagging behind.

LOL

The emotions weep from Tigers pores. You could really see it at his famous press conference back in 2010.

WTF. Rory McIlroy hits the rocks in front of the par 3 and it bounces straight up and onto the green. Rickie Fowler does it 10 minutes later...

Yep, he's playing well.

I'm rooting for Westwood. Hopefully he has a good round

    • Back in my Army days a "gooch" was a particular part of the anatomy. Example, say Okeechobee is the b-hole of Florida, then Belle Glade would be the gooch. Seems he wears his name well.
    • I can't say that I remember a lot of individual putts, but I do have one specific memory.  The first time I played the Old Course, I had hit a pretty good drive on the 6th hole.  I had about 60 yards left, and due to the swale in front of the green, there was no chance of flying a wedge on or near the green and having it stop on the green.  My caddie recommended either a running 7-iron chip or a putt, and I took the putter and a pretty hard swing.  The ball rolled over humps and through hollows, disappeared into the swale in front of the green, and re-appeared heading right at the hole.  I ended up maybe 12 feet away.  The caddie turned and held out his hand to shake mine, and said "Now THAT was a golf shot!"
    • For the first time since 2021, I made a 3 on the 12th at Stoneleigh.    395 yards, something like 80 feet uphill, I hit a solid drive and a 7-wood to inside a foot.  Even I couldn't miss that one.  I feel like I haven't played a lot of golf this year, but I'm making decent progress.
