Ines Sainz, , I have no idea what her face looks like, nor do I particularly care. Does that make me a bad person?

Doesn't make you a bad person at all, but here is her face, in case you're curious. Isn't she the one that Favre sent a picture of his dong to?

No ... that was Jenn Sterger ...

Don't know why it's not letting me edit at the bottom, but whatever.  This may be the source of your confusion.  The controversy surrounding Sainz' fame and Sterger's fame both have one common denominator:  The New York Jets.  This is from Sainz' wiki page:

In 2010 the TV Azteca reporter sought an interview with NY Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez , and she had been standing on the sidelines during practice when Jets players and coaches appeared to throw footballs in her direction. Later, as she waited in the locker room to conduct an interview with Sanchez, she was reportedly the target of lewd comments from players and staff. She tweeted in Spanish: "I'm so uncomfortable! I'm in the Jets locker room waiting for Mark Sanchez and trying not to look around me." And a few moments later, she wrote, "I want to cover my ears." Media persons reported that team members made "catcalls and rude comments". [ 25 ] According to Sainz, it was "the rest of the media start to hear the different kind of things that I didn't hear." [ 25 ] She accepted a personal apology from Jets owner Woody Johnson when those incidents became known to him.

In the immediate aftermath of the incident, Sainz lost a contract to be the spokesperson for a Mexican bank, which she said was "very painful" for her; [ 26 ] however, she said that the publicity resulting from the event also led her to become "the most popular journalist right now in Mexico and Latin America." [ 8 ]

The bar for the "Attractive Golf Pro Hall of Fame" is already crack-in-the-sidewalk low. This still passes.

I also like I.K. Kim. Showed a lot of class after she lost the playoff in last year's Kraft Nabisco. Also, she donated all her winnings when she won Lorena Ochoa's tourney a few years ago. Hopefully she bounces back.

Yes, I've never once been upset to see Jenny Dell come on my TV (though I do prefer Heidi).

    • How about with the high numbered irons such as the 9 iron? Is the swing the same with that? If that's the case then I stand corrected.  OK, although there is physics involved in the putt too.
    • I have a master's in Spanish linguistics and I like black holes.
    • I didn't say it was unfeasible. That's not what you said. And… be careful there. Not around the club's COM, man.
    • Our public course has red penalty areas marked with red stakes. The stakes are imprecisely placed, often overgrown or missing. Our golf club has no control over how the stakes are placed. We have therefore decided to create a local rule to define the penalty areas by physical features and ignore the red stakes.  Also, most of the currently marked penalty areas are because of an overgrown creek behind dense ground vegetation. The penalty areas are marked (roughly) at the edges of the dense vegetation (see picture example). Players cannot see the creek. The dense vegetation looks the same on holes where there is no creek and no penalty area. For consistency and to reduce confusion, we have decided to define all edges of dense ground vegetation as penalty area.   This adopts a popular USGA recommendation from 2019. Committee Procedures 2C(2) cautions: "A Committee may define the edge of a penalty area by clearly describing it in writing but should do so only if there will be little or no doubt where the edge is. For example, where there are large areas of lava or desert that are to be treated as penalty areas, and the border between these areas and the intended general area is well defined, the Committee could define the edge of the penalty area as being the edge of the lava bed or desert."  We are going ahead, but IMO "little or no doubt" is not possible. For example, the "edge of desert", no matter how "well defined" is often not a distinct line. Sand and grass may intermingle. An edge defined this way will never be as clear as stakes or a line. We will see what happens!  Other comments: I believe the change will improve pace of play. And have minimal effect on handicaps. (Seems like I saw a study of this, but unable to find it again.)    Does anyone have a similar experience with defining penalty areas by physical features? How did that go?
    • That's a fair point. You could probably release the club without the hands slowing down at all, but you'd have to be applying a force to the hands to offset the force the club would be applying to the hands as a result of the release. Technically possible, but inefficient I would think. With a driver, the difference in radius if everything lines up straight is something like 36" vs 81" (36" arms and a 45" driver). If the hands are going at 25mph, which would be very fast, the clubhead would be moving at about 56 mph, so there is clearly a lot more going on than just the difference in radius.  In the club's frame of reference, the handle is going backwards. The whole club is also moving though, so you don't see that in the static frame. The rotation of the club is demonstrable from the fact that the hands are moving slower at impact than they were at waist high as you noted. The hands and therefore the grip are slowing down and the clubhead is speeding up. That's because it's rotating.
