MI: Rogue Nation -- eagle for action, especially motorcycle duel, good acting and story. Thought the writing was a little clumsy in terms of introducing background on the CIA and Slater. Only one part where I lost interest for 2-3 minutes over 2 hr 11 minutes. Story was more complex than other MI moves and that may explain the slight stumble or two. But the action, the obvious heat between Cruz and female lead, and did I say the action, makes this a must see.
Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation gets a birdie. It's a fun movie with a lot of great action/stunt scenes. Hope I can look like Tom Cruise when I'm 53.
One of the best action flicks I've seen in years. Some nice humorous touches too.

I liked that Lisa Faust was Hunt's peer and had to save his ass many times. I didn't see many sparks between them, more like professional admiration and respect. Faust was basically the Angel of Verdun from Edge of Tomorrow minus the helicopter blade. And when Cruise said "Who are you?" it was almost like he said it in Oblivion. Studio was very smart in using a male/female duo. Brandt and Luther, I dunno if you really needed them.

And how many times will the whole organization be compromised? That plot device is wearing out.

The Prestige: Birdie. Almost an eagle. Very gripping and thrilling. The Perks of Being a Wallflower: Eagle. Thought it was great.

I loved the Prestige. Probably one of my favorite performances from both Jackman and Bale. It made the Illusionist seem a lot worse than it was. I'm looking forward to Straight Outta Compton.

Hot Pursuit with Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara - Double Bogey - Awful movie - still trying to figure out why I watched the entire thing.  2 hours of my life I will never get back.

Chinatown . A very solid birdie. I've always found Nicholson to be a bit of a one trick pony, but he was great in this flick. The ending is wickedly disturbing. I'll watch this again in the future.

Sometimes I kick myself for not watching a movie sooner. I'm pretty sure that's the stubborn streak in me that my wife talks about. Well, the other night I saw The Godfather for the first time. I'll give it a birdie, easily. It's a great film, and I can see why everyone raves about it (finally). The other was The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. That's another birdie from me. I just about want to give it an eagle, but I'm not going to. I liked the ending after the ending after the ending. I thought I had it figured out early, but was wrong about some parts. I haven't seen most of Daniel Craig's work, but the sample I have viewed impresses me, a lot.

Fantastic Four. A John Daly/Kevin Na +17, 4 balls in the water. What a P. O. S.

lol  Yeah that movie had atrocious reviews like 10 minutes after it hit the theaters.  Even the director flamed it.

I would have been annoyed if I paid to see it but double bogey seems a bit rough.  The sad thing is the one really hilarious line, the underwear coverage bit, was in the trailer.

I went to Hitman: Agent 47 a few days ago.  It was better than I thought it would be.  Par.

Watched a few others recently too:

Get Hard-- par.

Spy-- par.

Terminator Genisys-- Every time I watch one of these Terminator sequels I think the plot can't possibly get anymore ridiculous than the previous one.. and every time I'm wrong.  This one was no different.  Par.

I agree. I liked both the European version and the American version (with Daniel Craig). I liked how the American version kept the movie gritty and intense. I was worried they would take the shock value out of it.
