As a well-built, fairly strong male of 35 years old who's been playing for a number of years I can honestly say that the longest ever TrackMan-verified drive I've hit was while messing around waiting for an iron fitting. The pro had gone off to find the adjustment key for the iron clubhead removal and the driver was just sitting there from the last fitting (Nike Covert Tour) so I swung it once, stepped up to the ball and absolutely nailed it out of the middle of the club face.

The pro had just walked in at that point and whistled at the shot with a "nice!" comment as the ball flew in a beautiful mid-trajectory draw to the middle of the field.

The ball carried 265y and it's still by far the best I've ever hit a driver.

What I don't get is why always 300? Nobody ever says I crush my driver 288 how good is that.

Whiskey, we're at low altitude. Beer doesn't affect us as much near sea level. ;-)

And on the internet it's at least 350.

Where I play 265 carry turns into about 275 if it's dry and plugged at 265 if it's not.

hah. Don't believe it for an instant here in the UK. More like 265 on the monitor = 250 on course. ;)

True, you did say 300 plus .

Just out of curiosity, how do you measure the distances? By playing the course and using google maps to pinpoint specific landmarks? Or by some other means?

You do realize that he is probably 35 years old, currently sitting on his mom's old couch in her basement, and doesn't even play golf.

Everybody knows that a 13 year old is NOT hitting "more than 300 usually" unless he's playing in the street.

Sure. You're a nice guy, but I'm not. lol

Talk out your ass on the interwebs, and I'll call you on it...13 or 30, I don't care. Football isn't on for 5 more minutes, and I'm bored.

Further evidence that this genius isn't on a path to Harvard...just received this PM from him...

" So you think just any idiot can get into high school then, hmm, i bet you got into Harvard with your eyes blindfolded and your hands in your ass then, huh, answer me that riddle?"

" So you think just any idiot can get into high school"

" any idiot can get into high school"

" get into high school"

WHAT?

    • I'm available all of those weekends.   How do I vote?
    • Option one. Would like an ace even if it’s a worm burner. Have witnessed a couple of aces so would like to be on the other end.
    • OK - I think we should narrow down a weekend, and start there.  We're going to try to do this in June. I've created a Doodle poll where everyone can vote for the options that work for them.  Please include your username so I can track/post results. Doodle Doodle is the simplest way to schedule meetings with clients, colleagues, or friends. Find the best time for one-to-ones and team meetings with our user-friendly calendar tool. Get started today! (I only put in the Saturday dates, but assume the outing would include Friday - Sunday). Once we select a date that works for the most people, I'll start to line up courses and schedule and go from there.
    • Option #2 because I'd add the condition that it's in a tournament. Because that'd mean I'd break par in a tournament. And I already have a hole in one.
    • Hole in one is nice, but those low rounds stick in my memory better. I have two holes in one (and a third on a pitch and putt course which I count as a half). I've shot in the 60s three times in the last 10 years or so and I remember each one pretty well. I'd take the low round.
