Currently here in lower Hudson Valley, 34 and rain.  Was 70 a couple weeks ago but work weekdays and couldn't get out to one of the few courses open.   Since last summer its like clock work, dry most of the week and weekends are a washout.   My local course opens Monday.....I need to move south

Recently she got promoted in the retail business here and now makes more then me lol.    She wouldn't mind moving if there's a transfer possible.  Her last job they wanted to promote her and take over stores, but was more North into Connecticut or Massachusetts.  We don't want to go anywhere colder.   The company she works at now has a store in Sawgrass, I told her if management opens there she better put her name in the hat lmao

 

I have 12 years currently paying into NYS retirement, but sadly its a new crappy tier so technically I'm not "stuck" here.   I do have my CDL so can def use it somewhere else.  Plus most of my family is in Florida so makes that decision easier if we go

Not sure this is the best thread but, if the rain holds off, today is my 1st round of the year.  Getting ready I can not find my Shot Scope.  I guess I put it away too well for the winter and thus that is may "Winter Depression".  I'm sure I put it somewhere that made sense at the time.

I've been really absent all things golf since September but have been getting the bug lately.  Today in SE Michigan we have our first thaw of the year.  It is Sunny and 53 degrees and boy do I want to get on a golf course!  Spring is around the corner 🙂

We are close to the turning point. I expect a few low end courses to open next weekend (3/8). The snow and ice is gone from 98% of the turf. The ground is softening and drying out well. I am ready. 😉

We've had the shortest winter I can remember. Only 4-5 weeks of cold and snow, half of them with snow not even covering the ground. The norm is winter temperatures and snow from November-Deccember to April. Today we've had a month without freezing temperatures and the snow has rained away. Hoping for a record early opening of courses.

Dusted off the cobwebs and hauled the clubs out of the basement. Played Washtenaw Golf Club with a couple friends yesterday. Driving was very good. The balance of my game was hit or miss. 40/44/84. Could have been worse or better on a different day.

May try to play Friday at my “home” course depending on the weather and temps.
