Winter Depression Thread

I thought we had previously determined that this wasn't a thread where fair winter weather people were not welcome to come in bragging about playing and nice weather?

Wait. I was complaining about winter. We do have a few days of it in Florida believe it or not.

I was lodging a legit complaint. It was too cold to golf last weekend.

Define "too cold". For me, if it was above 35, it was not too cold. Our issue here, as you know, is either snow or closed courses.

If I say, then I will probably be banned. It was very cold by our standards though.

I'll hazard a guess that you're not making too many points with the actual cold weather people. Even if there is light snow on the ground in FL with severe Hot Cocoa conditions. . .although the Mr. Coffee heat pad was a nice touch. . .  :-D

I agree with this, maybe not ban, but disparage the pathetic jabs at humor when the temperature dips below their comfort level to wade around their kiddie pools with drinks with parasols in them...

It's obviously low enough that you can walk in it.  Paint your balls black (or put on your warmer kilt) and get to the course.

This is the time when my father used to don the cross-country skis and hit a tennis ball.

No need. Winter is over in Florida for now, so we shall return to our regularly scheduled fun.

Yes, Californians are so depressed by damn near everything!;-)

I'm halfway serious. One February, when we were out on our annual California winery scouting trip (we were in the wine business) in the Monterey area, we were walking around in short sleeves enjoying the balmy weather, and noticed locals scuttling about in sweaters, jackets and parkas! Their primary complaint was that the wind was blowing too hard!

Another instance was when our host kept apologizing for a housefly that kept buzzing around their tasting room. We told her not to worry, as we hadn't seen one of them in months!

Typical Michigan winter day....

We received about 3" of heavy snow last night.   Today the temperature rose to the low 40s with rain!   It is suppose to be colder tonight to create the usual slip and slide.   The next two days are forecast to be in the 40s with night time lows below freezing.

This wouldn't be too bad if we had some sunshine!!!

I planned to fly to Tucson from SF today to play golf.

But Mother Nature had another plan. My flight got canceled at the last minute due to storm. Ugh!

instead I had to fly back home tonight.

Fortunately, the weather looks good tomorrow in CO. So I'll try to get a round in.

Typical NE weather this week: Cold and snowy, followed by rain and 50s, then freeze again on the weekend.

But Friday is supposed to be in the 40s, so I think I will go to the outdoor range and do my Evolvr drills after work.

It's gonna be 50 on Thurs.  Can I find a place open and call in sick?  Would love to even just play 9 right now and I never like to play just 9.

I keep looking at my wedges I got for Xmas and need to go try them out.  Looks like below freezing on the weekend so Tiger Woods 2013 on the Xbox it is..... sad, so sad.....

We've got a small window that I'm not going to be able to take advantage of.  It's supposed to get up to 50 today and even warmer tomorrow. Yeah, windy and rainy, but definitely playable. I'm not getting away from the desk before the cold comes back.
