Yeah, I agree. Any more of this winter sadness and I will go insane. I live in Northern IL near Chicago and the weather is absolutely pitiful. Only thing good about this is that the days are gradually getting longer. Sunset now creeped up to 5:06 PM so that's a good thing. But the air temperature and frequency of snow storms we are having is so depressing. I'm hoping for mid thirties temperatures , perhaps low 40s around the middle of this month just to get some rainfall in and melt some of this white trash everywhere... Ugh.... Month 1/2 more...? Who knows, I just want to play some golf. :(

50 degrees yesterday in South Central PA.  Got a good range session in and it felt so good.  Now there is 6 inches of snow on the ground today.  I thought hitting some balls would help calm the urge to play, silly me it only made it worse.

Our groundhog predicted an early spring so there is still hope.


Hopefully the Canadian groundhog knows more than the American one!

Range is open. Hard to track the ball when the whole surface is white though. Can't video fo, errrr.

We got a foot of snow today.  I just spend 3 hours outside snow blowing and shoveling.

      Day 44, June 17.  Today was some preliminary stretching, exploring what I'll want to set up as a regular routine (both while on vacation without clubs and when I'm back) (aside: this is part of an upcoming goal to stretch daily in a meaningful way, but I don't plan to count it as practice on days that I can meaningfully practice with a club)

      Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry

      You still got to lift your arms. You basically just roll your wrist over in the 1st half of the backswing.

      Day 288 6-17 Low point control without ball. hit quite a few swing where i was wanting the club to hit the ground.  Added a ball with towel behind it, just to see where im at. Wasn't horrible but need some more work. Pretty much full speed swings.

      Current state of the program.  I can only do 25-50% swing speed, probably under 50% since I was hitting the ball out to the 150 yard marker (yay!),  to get the arms down and somewhat turn the body through impact. I mean somewhat. Arms down + body turn don't like to mesh at all. Anything faster and the body does stupid uncoordinated stuff. Mostly, I am stuck in the old pattern of staling the turn and flipping at the ball.  So, until I see progress. I am not posting anything here.
