My car on the way to work..... This has been a normal morning around here in SE Wisconsin since the first of the year, any where from -15 to 1 degree mornings with the highs barely getting into the 20's.... I $% @#^#@ hate winter this year......

Let me warn everyone right now, so you won't be too offended when I complain about a cold snap in Miami that you would call a spring day fit for 36 holes in shorts and a t-shirt. Even though I'm originally from Kentucky and grew up around a bit of cold weather every winter, I am fully acclimated to Miami now and I'll complain like all get out when it goes down into the 50s. In the 40s, I'll cry out loud and the high 30s will cause my personal molecular movement to cease. I'm a golfing temperate wuss.

I've had a good day if I don't fall out of the cart...

We are going to get about 10 inches of snow Wed into Thurs. in central NC. As long as we don't lose power, everything will be OK.

Idk... I have seen the way you guys drive in the snow...

Near Atlanta has already gotten 1 inch of ice. That is about 10x as worse as 8-10 inches of snow.

I can't wait for the 40+ days ahead for Ohio. TO THE DRIVING RANGE!!

Of course we had the 2 inches of snow a couple of weeks ago that crippled the city with parking lot style traffic.  My commute that day was 9 hours which included abandoning my truck and taking out on foot at 1am in dress shoes.  AND MINE IS A SUCCESS STORY!!

Today is better in that instead of the entire city being stuck in their cars, we are all stuck at home.  The problem this time is the potential of so many trees getting weighed down with ice that they fall and cause power outages.  About 85k folks without power so far.

More ice and snow to come, but at least we're home this time.

I grew up in the DC area, so we had snow, but not like NH. Most of the people in NC do OK in the snow, but we can get ice, and then we have big problems. I'm just going to stay home, and watch Olympic hockey.

Hey, good to know there's another south Jersey victim on here. I'm hoping they'll cancel work tomorrow, but I'd rather all the dang ice/snow melt. Cabin fever is nearing all time high's for me. S/J needs a good indoor range.

    • Awesome, thank you very much. I ended up giving them a call and you are right. Got to try out some different clubs, the first suggestion was the Wilson Staff Launch Pad irons I believe, the hybrid irons. Personally I wasn't liking them all too much, however they were much better than the old '74 MacGregor blades I've been playing. Then I tried a couple others, I forget what the one was but the one I ended up liking the best was the Cobra Aerojet irons. Overall feel and performance was the best for me on these, I also preferred the appearance and sound of these. Bit the bullet.

    • Live Updates from the range! Open the club face at address, and trust that you’re gonna be able to get the face in a good position at impact. I don’t have to feel like I have to keep the face open throughout the entire downswing. The swing feels much more free-flowing through impact. Difference in ball flight is that previously it would be a low to mid trajectory that starts straight and draw left, or slight pulls. New ball flight are high push draws.  It’s kind of stupid. I feel like it should slice off the planet. I look up and it’s maybe a slight push. 🤣 Some distant wedge feels. More weight on front foot. Keep weight on front foot.  Pivot around left knee. Solid contact all the time.

    • Day 2:  I hit a bucket of balls this morning.  Not gonna lie, almost didn’t go since it was my first time going alone and it was a little intimidating.  I mostly hit with my driver (the last bit of balls was with my 7 iron).  The sun was in my face but I think the ones that had good contact with went the furthest yet (maybe 150 yards then a good roll?).  Once I switched to my 7, the first half of my balls were crap.  I’ve always hit my irons before my driver when practicing and done fine - does this make any difference or is it just because I’m so green?
