Been in the 40s the last few days and it's starting to melt. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

We're supposed to have a a bunch of consecutive days where the temp is over freezing...so that's something. I just hope it's enough to start melting the snow cover that has been on the ground for what seems like FOREVER.

Well today I woke up and it was roughly 10 degrees outside, but the bright side is that tomorrow we have a high of 43 and then Saturday a high of 50! Things better keep warming up to get all this snow out of the way.

We must harness the crystiles.

Forecast was above freezing for today - not so much as it's only 16 now. That 50 degrees NY forecast for the weekend, not gonna happen.

That's a typical spring weather in Colorado. 70's one day 30's the next day. Wild fluctuation in temperature during March / April, especially.

That,s about the same here in  North Carolina this winter. Too cold to play one day and the next day it,s perfect weather.

Stop complaining.  I go to my dad's in NC all the time....and even when it's bad, you can still get out.

Try that in Chicago. :/

Man, look at these temps down here in Australia:

Of course, that's Celsius, sooooo, it's like 90. I'm on a business trip from Washington DC and definitely feeling good about missing the crap weather back home. Playing Peninsula Country Club tomorrow http://www.peninsulagolf.com.au/guests/golf/tour/index_s.mhtml

By the time I'm back from Singapore in Mid-march we should be able to see the ground.

Why do they call golf "golf"?  Because all the other four letter words were taken.

Nice. I was down in Australia in '06 watching the finals of the Aus Open Tennis, and it was very hot then. Enjoy, drink lots of water. BTW I heard we're going to have a big winter storm mid march!

    • Day 204 (22 Nov 24) - Weekly men’s group round today.  Temps in the upper 40’s, WNW winds 5-15mph - was the old man in the foursome (next youngest is my junior by 10yrs) - held my own against them.  Iron play getting more consistent -seeing predictable ball flights and distances. While the consistency coming around still had sone solid negatives as I had two dbls and one triple. On the plus side - eight pars and one birdie.
    • I don't think anyone will really care.   It's your call.  Just be consistent.
    • I agree, until we are watching the 18th hole in the dark or waiting for the champion to finish and it's been 5+ hours
    • Question for the group. The course I normally play at has 27 holes - 3 9s that they use to for 18 in the various combinations. Is it okay to declare* if I’m playing front or back when I play 9 on this course? I’m figuring I need to declare before I play a shot. *meaning just say to myself that this is the back 9. Curious what people think. Of course, my only holes left are 13 and 17, so I’m going to declare the back 9 for the rest of the year. Probably only one or two more rounds though.
    • This is my opinion as well. I would love to see the LPGA take the lead on this.    This.
