Today was the 1st time Ive used my game golf.  Has anyone else had a problem with one particular tag working?  All of the shots I tagged worked perfectly except the driver. I think it worked twice but then I was using the 4w instead.  When I connected the device it said I had a round with 1 shot which was the driver and it was like 5000 yards.  Then it had the whole round in another file.  Is that why it wouldn't tag?

No, but I've had other goofy stuff along those lines ...

I went to edit after a round and it looked like I had hit only one shot.  I got frustrated thinking that all was lost so I just deleted that one hole ... and then all of a sudden the rest of my round appeared.  What had happened was that the warm up area is very close to the 10th tee, and I apparently accidentally tagged one shot while warming up that it attributed to that hole.  Then it recorded the next 18 holes and when I went to download the first "round" appeared first, causing the temporary confusion.

I've had another similar experience where it registered a shot on the range as my first shot on the first hole - so it just added a shot and looked goofy as heck at first on the map. :)

Almost bought one of these today but they don't have my home course listed.  I did request it so will reconsider once I see the course available.

From what I've heard, they're pretty fast when it comes to adding new courses.

Yep, got a msg today to say they added my course. Only problem is, I go back online to Golf Town and the Game Golf is back up to full price. Must have just been the end of the sale or something. I begrudge paying $230 + shipping today when it was $170.49 yesterday shipped.  Will wait for it to go on sale again. Probably didn't need it anyway.

My shots are coming up short.  Not sure if it is just that the air hasn't heated up yet or what.

Be careful drawing that conclusion without a baseline. If you don't know for certain what % of your shots came up short last season, blaming your shortness this year on your swing may be misplaced. It is possible that you were always coming up short on average but just didn't notice without having good analysis tools.

That could be true.  I guess what I am noticing is that I played in a weekly par 3 tournament at our club last year and I know what club selection I was using then.  This was during the summer though and the air is much colder here right now.  I am 2 clubs different from the summer and I just don't know if this is typical or if I have gotten my swing a little off.

Everytime I look at my clubs I see the tags and think how awesome it would be to be able to use them.

Ha ha I feel the same way. I have a hole on mine where I hit 4 pitch/chip shots on a par 3.

Handicap on dashboard is pretty slick. Hoping they expand the stats soon.

I have 11 rounds posted it's been eye opening. I average 1 club shorter than I thought. Not unexpected basically my best shots happen infrequently so average club performance is a bunch of mishits. But I can see exactly what I intended to do when I edit each round. That 157 yard 5 iron that left me pitching from 35 yard yeah that was supposed to fly 190ish. My misses are short and right of the green. Not a surprise there a good hit is 3-4 yard push draw a miss typically a push and well I rarely hit it crisp so most fall short. Pretty decent from 150 in but as the clubs get longer than 8 iron the misses are long short right left, everything but backwards. Still not sure how to make adjustments. If I think miss will be short and take one more club without fail it's the best shot of the day and I hit it 20 yards over the green into severe trouble and make double when the short miss would have left me nGIR with a shot to get up and down.

Wish the mapping was a little tighter. I have to move putts all the time, especially ones from off the green. Not a huge deal but might have to move one 5 yards before it sees it as off the green. Unless I missed it they should have a click to edit feature for FIR and GIR. I can be 25 feet from the rough and it might have it as a missed fairway. I don't pay much attention to FIR but I'd like the stats to be accurate. Still inputting stats manually on my previous tracker and it doesn't match GG. Same goes for sand saves, GG rarely picks up the ball is in a bunker so that stat is garbage. Another to click to edit for that would be good.

If I shot a 46 over 9 holes, I'd be so pumped and, since I generally play 18 holes, I'd work hard as heck to score under 95, haha!

I was not getting off the tee and topping my 3w. I'm not great, but not that bad. I was actually surprised that scored 46 considering how bad my ball striking was. Neat thing about GG is going back to see where you had issues.

Topping my 3W was my specialty last year!

I'll be excited to see if the little swing work I've been able to do this winter will stop that.

For those interested, Game Golf has dropped its price to $179.99, at least at Golfsmith and Amazon. Still above the $119 it was on Black Friday on Amazon, but this seems like the lowest advertized regular price so far at major golf retailers, I think.

I wonder if they're moving towards a Game Golf 2 follow up, or if this is part of their strategy with making the functionality free through the app to grow the ecosystem

Yeah, the week before Black Friday, it was jumping by $20 or more daily, dropping as low as $165 that Tuesday before jumping back to $199 heading into the Black Friday sale. But yeah, this seems like an actual price cut / sale as opposed to some of Amazon's crazy fluctuations every time someone buys a unit.
