I also found the ads to be funny.   It made me laugh out loud.  Hope to see more (I think there were only 2 or 3).

Don’t get me started about Kuchar.  To this very day, his dad makes me very angry.  It still causes me much anger to think back to the Augusta Masters how insulting and sophomoric Peter Kuchar acted when caddying for Matt.  Justin Leonard should have had Kuchar’s dad dismissed from the tournament.

OK, I'll bite ... what gives.    Must have been a MASSIVE media event for nothing to be easily found on Google about it. His dad Peter was said to be a bit of a cheerleader for his son at the US Open when he was caddying ... are you upset about a father rooting for his son - maybe you didn't get enough hugs when you were a child ??

Nope. I laugh at the "drive it 300 yards, dead center of the fairway" one like an insane chimp.

"Do that every time and you will be fine out there" is my favorite line.

I, too, enjoy these commercials, especially the one that @dkolo mentioned about the 300 yards one. I will admit, though, I'm curious about what @Ferguson is brought up about Kuchar and his father.

I’m going to try and explain this without going off topic. Kuchar wears Sketchers and therefore does TV commercials that endorse the brand. Some people like the commercials and find levity in such. Please see plethora of posts. Some people do NOT like the commercials. However, before he got the contract to endorse this brand of footwear, he played in the Augusta Masters with his dad on the bag. To my knowledge, his dad did not wear Sketchers or do any TV commercials at the time. His dad was not a professional caddie and made some serious mistakes on the course during round. It made Justin Leonard, Ernie Els and ME very angry. Ernie and Justin do not appear in the Sketchers commercials, nor do they endorse the brand, to my knowledge. Kuchar’s dad was not a professional and didn’t care what people thought about it. It made me angry.

I do not appear in the commercials, and do not endorse Sketchers.

Ok - that's a pretty funny post (at least to my sense of humor).  nicely done.

as for the off topic info - I'm glad you have a forum to get this off your chest occasionally, doesn't bug me either way.  the above e-mail makes it worth it

(I do not represent any shoe company, yet I find these commercials funny.  I also find them to be more on the lines of honoring those nike/woods commercials now that i see them played back to back.  they are so identical in tone as to be considered a Tribute)

My only reaction to seeing Matt’s commercials featuring the Sketcher’s brand was, “wow, someone paid him a good chunk of cash to wear those things.”

I’d be willing to bet his dad has a few free pairs in the closet too. That makes me angry that his dad gets free shoes.

I’m partial to ECCO shoes. I had a pair of ECCO Crossfires that lasted 4 years of walking.

It was bound to happen – someone was going to bring up Kuchar or his Dad.   I hold grudges, yes.   Kuchar’s dad makes me very angry.  I can’t forgive Matt or his Dad.   I will never buy the Sketchers brand.  It’s very upsetting.   His dad owns an insurance business in Florida and from what I hear – it’s a bit sketchy.

That commercial was hilarious, but these comments are hilarious. Like really, it's that serious? That's a ton of anger

No, Ferguson's posts are intelligible and articulated very well. So, we know exactly what he feels about something after reading them one time. . .

I'm a Kutcher fan. I've never cared for their shoes so I probably won't buy any Sketcher golf shoes. I did just score some FJ Hyperflex and they feel great. No matter for now...since I apparently live in the North Pole.

the commercials are funny imho....and do exactly what their meant to do, generate laughs and get us talking about them, for that good job by Kuchar and from Sketchers.  Doesn't make me want to go out and buy a pair though.
